I recently had the opportunity to sample several different brands of beer. I saved the caps for awhile. Photo'd them. Then, threw them away.
I love this cap! I just got it recently but it's definitely one of my faves. I love the great, simple illustration of the owl.
Bottlecap pincushion done in brown and blue, one of my favourite colour combinations. Embroidered using lazy daisy, flystitch, french knots and buttonhole stitch. Sent to girtha.
so i was sitting in a chair at my favorite donation store and i noticed the table festooned with bottle caps, applied with a hot glue gun (that is an important factor in my subsequent decision). there were two caps that had been put on with the underside showing, having some interesting messages. the longer i sat, the longer i cogitated not only on the messages but the table which is a nice sturdy unpainted one and for a relatively inexpensive price. i tried peeling one off-- oh, you naughty person-- and it came off readily, leading me to think with a little effort and some paint i could have a neat table for the 'entryway'. anybody want some bottle caps when i bring it in and begin the peeling process? (there are 4 sides and legs -- the person must have put in some serious consumption!! or maybe he/she was a barkeep??)
Added some new ones to my Etsy. Will add a few more later today and tomorrow. Starring Milkun and his friends :) Link in profile :)
So much for "Enjoy our beer responsibly."
The bottlecap from a bottle of Newport Storm's Spring Irish Red Ale.
This one, made for a private swap, uses a wider bottlecap (from a small smoothie bottle.). The cherry was made in the same way as the top of the pincushion. I dropped the tube of seed beads while adding the sprinkles - messy!

making bottlecap magnets like crazy! I've made close to 100 in the past 2 weeks! a bulk of them is for the Eurofied Sampler Box (more about that later) and the rest for my Etsy (see profile for link). Will be uploading them this week, so be on the look out!
I'd say a rusty, crusty, squished flat bottlecap is just about the most perfect background for these oil pastels.
