Bottle Cap #22 in a series I am doing during the COVID-19 pandemic. I don’t remember what soda this came off of. I’m guessing it was most likely a root beer or sarsaparilla .
Bottle Cap #3 in a series I am doing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Potosi is a small town in southwestern Wisconsin just a stones throw from the Mississippi River. Potosi Brewery opened in 1852 and closed in 1972. It reopened as a small batch craft brewery again in 2008. In 2004, it was chosen as the site of the National Brewery Museum by the American Breweriana Association.
I used to collect beer bottles, but caps take up a little less space! They are difficult to get off the bottle without ruining, though.

A new art project I'm working on, bottle cap magnets. I'm having a problem with the resin not hardening. I'll keep experimenting until I get it right!

2.4% abv.
I've done the math on this a few times and it doesn't seem possible to have a 2.4% beer that's 55 calories. Pure alcohol is 200 calories per oz. 12oz x 2.4% = 0.3oz of pure liquor in a bud55. So 200 x 0.3 = 60. So there are 60 calories in 0.3oz of pure alcohol. Does not compute! Plus I assume the rest of the liquid in a bud55 is more than just water - so it should account for a few calories.
Today is the 100th Day of school, and here is the collection T took in: a bottle cap bandolier. It's not really a bandolier - I'm holding the pieces together in the back - but it could be worn like a bandolier.
My original suggestion was to press them into something like styrofoam. He countered with stringing them on a necklace (which was nixed, because it would require drilling 100 holes!). CaZaTo Pa suggested turning them into a belt - and somehow, the result was this bandolier.
