You've probably seen holes in the rocks on the Southern California beaches. Here's the shell of the critter responsible for that. Boring clams start out very small near the surface of the stone and continue to twist and grow over the years. This one is about an inch across and a couple from top to bottom. You can see on the upside the cutters in the outer shell that provide the boring process. That makes the hole bigger and evacuates the sand towards the top of the hole. In this picture, the fine sand grains on the left side are the mudstone. The grainy sand is beach sand on the right side.
I was walking around in downtown again, and I spotted this lonely spot in a pick-up. I feel like that sometimes too.

my whole dilemma with this picture is that, the sky is FREAKING GORGEOUS but unfortunately, the whole surrounding is dark. so decided to perk up the picture a bit, but still maintain the beauty of the sky.

Taken at Towneley Hall, Burnley, this young lady wasn't really bored as she was taking a great interest in all the exhibitions and displays in the hall. But her eye was caught by a wedding taking place in another part of the hall. So I grabbed this chance to snap.

Bored again. But this door does make the snow look nice. It is the wood door - the one we stack the wood in front of, get it?
