Looks boring, but this is the exterior of the church where St. Catherine of Siena is buried, entombed, rather inside a marble case inside a glass coffin on the altar. It's totally ghoulish. And who was Saint of Catherine? Well, I played her life in one of those horrid religious dances in Year 8 upon the altar of St. Dominic's. I still bear the scars (as you can see).

4 hours seemed so long...and the only thing i could from the window is darkness and some stars...and the reflection of myself if i turned on the reading light.

wish i could see a scene like this from the plane. =)

Valvata sincera

State listed as Endangered in Miassachuttes

The Boreal Turret Snail, also known as the Mossy Valvataalso or Mossy Valvata, is a small snail in the family Valvatidae with a shell that measures up to 5 mm in diameter. The shell of this freshwater snail has no distinctive characteristics; however, it has a gill and operculum (little lid) as protection. It is yellowish-brown in color with a low spire. In Massachusetts, the Boreal Turret Snail is at the southern geographical limit of its range and has been found in a lake and a pond in the Housatonic River drainage though it has also been found in the Nashua River Watershed.

The Boreal Turret Snail is sensitive to water quality. Organizations like the Nashua River Watershed Association have radically reduced pollution in this watershed. Founded in 1969 by a group of concerned citizens have organized water clean-up on one of the nations most polluted rivers. This transformation from deadly water quality to now clean and thriving rivers is known internationally. Groups of volunteers still test and monitor the water quality. The NRWA continues to protect and clean up the waters of Massachusetts and have continue to plan for conservation, water quality clean up and careful planned land use developments.
