Bordered Patch (Chlosyne lacinia)

As I was checking the Gregg's Mistflowers for more Queens or Monarchs I discovered this mating pair of Bordered Patch butterflies. I usually don't find the Bordered Patch visiting the Mistflowers for nectar, but then I don't think they were interested in nectar anyway.

Yea so I’m no expert in either field but I’m quite certain that gay/lesbian/transgender studies doesn’t fall under the category of Westerns… perhaps someone at Borders has been watching a little too much Broke Back Mountain??

At the start of Jan I had one border sewn together and three to go. I want to get them all sewn together by end of Jan

The challenge was to decorate a postcard with the border stickers from stamp sheets. I still have a gazillion of those little things. I should have saved the "#n in a series" stickers I used in the upper right of this one, and made a whole series of these postcards!
