Auntie Elk coming to a full stop .. stick dropping from her mouth, as she attends to the more serious occupation of sheep's staring .. the sheep (you can see the white blob at the top) lasted about 30 seconds before it decided enough was enough of being stared at and disappeared back into the green depths of the wood!

Canada/US Border, Glacier National Park, MT and Waterton Lakes National Park, AB. Canadian side of stone border marker, looking into the US. When you hike the 10 mile trail from the Waterrton town in Canada to the Goat Hunt Ranger station in the US, this is where you cross the border. In 1938 Czechoslovakia mobilized against the German threats of war, but hat to give in to the Munich Agreement and withdraw from the border fortifications, even if the army was fully capable to stand against the Wehrmacht. After this not only Germany, but also Poland and Hungary ripped pieces of land from the country, and there were also extensive fights with insurgents, which cost lives of many Czechoslovak soldiers and gendarmes. Today it´s a tradition to reenact how the situation could be, when we would have defended ourselfs. It´s a fact that Hitler was affraid of the Czechoslovak military, which at that time had better tanks, more heavy guns, and a very effective fortification system. Of course we win in the reenactments :-)
