It's actually along the Imazu River, a tidal river. Jazz's curiosity got the better of him as he crept toward me from his "down" position, likely wondering why I was contorting myself against the sea wall (I was trying to get a bit of the river in the frame).

Our new 10 week old border collie pup. Her name is Ziba, meaning beautiful in the Persian language.

Nic and I participated in a sheep herding clinic this month. Here he is keeping an eye on me while waiting for our turn to work sheep. I like this photo because it shows his freckles nicely.

My 5 year old Border Collie Hunter is very inventive when it comes to playing ball. This Lazy Boy recliner has seen better days but Hunter figured out how to give me back the ball without any effort. He is a Lazy Boy.

Picture of the Day

Hunter, my younger Border Collie (nephew to Cody) is checking out his uncle to see if his pillow is better. Cody meanwhile is zoning out.

My Border Collie, Lass, in the snow. We only had a couple inches and it didn't last long.

Who's having fun?

My 4 year old Border Collie, Nic.

I walk my Border Collies between 2 and 6 miles a day. They also have access to 4 arces to roam and chase rabbits. They often catch cat naps in the afternoon as I do but they are more than ready to go anywhere for a walk with less than a 10 second warning.

Indy 19th March 1998 to 19th December 2011 .My brave beautiful pup, full of life and so many adventures to come.

I took a few photos of my Border Collie, Lass, when she was working sheep on a lovely September afternoon. Here she is waiting, with an ear pointed at me, for me to send her to gather the flock.

I like how my 85mm lens captured this dog at a crosswalk just before crossing. I only wish the owners would not use a choke chain collar…:-(

My friends 16 year old border collie still looking for sheep.

I am so behind the power curve ;-( my computer went out, I'm bouncing back and forth btwn the old (very sick one) and the new one, trying to get everything transfered...I was terrified I wouldn't be able to get Lightroom on the new one, but yay! it worked ;-) cs4 went too, (but no lucis art yet ;-( ) and my pops going to put cs5 on sometime next week...It was a real scare for me, as I was invited to put some of my work in a gallery in California ;-) and I didn't know if my computer was going to give up the ghost before i could get the pics off and printed, but thank goodness it hung in there.....sorry I've been so far behind in commenting on all of your shots, I've glanced at a few, and man there loooks to be some really nice work. Hoepfully I'll get everything back up and running next week, and can slow down and go through all the pics ;-)
