In 1938 Czechoslovakia mobilized against the German threats of war, but hat to give in to the Munich Agreement and withdraw from the border fortifications, even if the army was fully capable to stand against the Wehrmacht. After this not only Germany, but also Poland and Hungary ripped pieces of land from the country, and there were also extensive fights with insurgents, which cost lives of many Czechoslovak soldiers and gendarmes. Today it´s a tradition to reenact how the situation could be, when we would have defended ourselfs. It´s a fact that Hitler was affraid of the Czechoslovak military, which at that time had better tanks, more heavy guns, and a very effective fortification system. Of course we win in the reenactments :-)

The BOUNCERS
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, a row of lights was set up along the path of the former wall. The show was caled the Lichtgrenze, or Border of Lights - Berlin 2014
My three-year-old Border Collie, Gin, is an international traveler. :-) I first met her in November of 2022 when she was imported from Ireland by a Canadian sheepdog trainer that I train with. I was drawn to Gin right away and let the trainer know about my interest. Eventually the timing was right; Gin joined our family in March of 2024 and now lives with us in the Pacific Northwest (USA).
Skeena District Commercial Vehicle and Safety Enforcement (CVSE) officers participated in a multiagency commercial vehicle safety check in the Yukon, just over the BC border.
CVSE staff were providing technical support and advice to The Yukon CVSA and RCMP. The event took place May 17 and 18th.

I went to work with my dad today, he has to make a fence around a field that is going to be grazed by sheep in a couple of weeks time... it was hard work and I spent hours stumbling about on uneven ground carrying fence posts over my shoulder! The field is very overgrown and on a huge hill... we took the dogs and as you can see, even Barney got tired out! He spent all day "over seeing" work, following me around, scrabbling up and down and gingerly creeping over the bramble patch.

A large portrait of Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, the reigning king of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, is seen as this border crossing near the Jordanian coastal city of Aqaba and the Israeli city of Eilat at the tip of the Red Sea. Abdullah ascended the throne in February, 1999 upon the death of his father, King Hussein. He is the eldest son of King Hussein and the British-born Princess Muna al-Hussein (nee Antoinette Avril Gardiner). It is claimed that Abdullah is the 43rd-generation direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammad. His namesake is King Abdullah I, his great-grandfather who founded modern Jordan in 1946.

This image is one of several I held back from my multiple exposure series of Summer/Autumn 2017 for a couple of reasons:
1. I had become uninspired with the options I had at my disposal at that time to develop my ideas further.
2. I needed a reset in my general approach to my photography. So I began from the basics in a simple manner - I ran a few rolls of film using a Nikon FG camera. I was so surprised quite how therapeutic ( and wasteful ) the process proved to be.
