I couchsurfed in Dalian and this is my host's dog, called Mika. We took him for a walk on evening - her mum had made him little booties from kiddie socks. They were so cute!

Also, I ordered a big-top cupcake today online. For those who don't know, it's a BIG cupcake pan. And it brightened my day, along with people protruding kindness to those they don't really know just to make them feel amazing. I love people today. Anyway I'll be adding pictures of my awesome cupcakes when I get them.

These booties are from the 'Duck booties" pattern in "Crocheted gifts in a weekend" by Nola Theiss. The original pattern had the cuffs done with knitted ribbing so I just improvised a simple crochet cuff.
