My copycat for today is from the always inspiring DenisenFamily . The only problem I had was deciding whether to copy on of her gorgeous face shots, her chucks or her great butt! I went with the butt, as you can see.

Pattern: a little smaller than my usual bootie pattern because I did not have enough yarn

That is the name of the pattern, not my analysis of my knitting, hehe!

yarn: Bernat Organic Cotton (in Cactus and Mineral Spring)

Knit for an old friend who just had twin boys!

These did turn out pretty cute, I must say, though I was nervous at first. I omitted the ribbon/icord tie and made a shorter cuff because I was afraid of running out of yarn.

The organic cotton is actually quite nice, it feels pretty soft (the blue is softer than the green), it held up to a few froggings, etc.

I would definitely knit these again, I just wish there was no seaming!

My grandma just gave me the book they are sitting on, it's a Mother Goose book from 1940ish where 8 or 9 children's illustrators each got their own section to illustrate... some good stuff in there!

I made these booties for a coworker of mine who had her baby in November - I think they're 6 month sized the way they came out so they should be perfect for slightly-belated gift giving :)

Yarn: Hand-dyed sock yarn from now-defunct Etsy seller :(

These mary-jane style booties range in size from 0-3 months to 12-18 months.

Pattern from Amy Butler's book, little stitches for little ones.

These are Saartje's booties the Bockstark way (one piece in the round) for my little cousin Lilly; the yarn is Koigu p211 which originally made an appearance in the heels of these socks, I used maybe 1/3 skein.

Victor wearing the blue booties that Nancy made for him.

Tammy made a pair of Baby booties for a friend of her sister who is having a baby soon. She specifically wanted a pair of fish booties (a design tammy has done before). To keep it unique and fresh Tammy decided to do it with a varigated yarn.

They are supposed to look greenish (do they?) as it is going to be a 'Surprise' Baby. :)
