Hidden in the back of the garden was this bright lily begging to have its picture taken. I darkened the background for contrast.

These bright coneflowers already made a statement, but I decided to punch them up with colour saturation and an added effect in Topaz Studio 2. I hope you enjoy! HSS!

Bold Jumping Spider. Photographed in Maryland.

A focus stack of 3 images, shot with the camera hand held. Canon 80D, Canon MPE lens, Canon twin flash, Aperture f/11, shutter speed 1/250, ISO 400.

Phidippus audax is a common jumping spider of North America. It is commonly referred to as the bold jumping spider. These spiders are easily identified both by their relatively large size and their iridescent chelicerae.

Hello you lovely people ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ✿

I feel very honored to be blogging for a very talented and amazing creator today, one of the kindest people - Titzuki from Fakeicon! This coat turned out amazing and I love the different designs that come with it. This shot is a bit different from my usual settings but I was excited to try out something new. We've been joking around that every time I blog for Fakeicon I somehow end up naked. He did so amazing with this cape though - that's the only clothing I need. Thank you for your amazing work, Titzuki-sensei!

Random snapshot and edit using Weekend Ruiner's discodicks background thingy (Petty in Pink), which is actually really cool. Thank you Vanmoer! ♥

Featuring jaZz hAnDs, some new Addams releases and Contraption's fabulous sci-fi boa which you can find at Equal 10! I really love this thing.

HAPPY WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S) !

Old windows were bold windows! IMO (with occasional exceptions) modern windows are not nearly as much fun to see and photograph. Also, I wish that three of these window had less plain blinds. Windows like these deserve interesting blinds and curtains to entertain us passersby.

NB - These are upper-story windows. However, I shot them from down in the street. Later, I used the "Unskew" tool in my editing program to make it seem as if we are viewing them head-on. This is less trouble and less intrusive, I think, than lugging around and using a noisy camera drone to get the same effect.

Location: Strasbourg, Alsace FR.

Like border patrol. As he should be, his family is in need of his intimidating capabilities to ensure their safety. On this early morning he was coming to check me out in my kayak. It felt like he was going to ask for my passport. lol Not gonna lie, I was nervous, If he didn't like what he was seeing he would come at me with a vicious flapping of wings and ear piercing vocal sounds, but he let me pass to take pics of his new family. If he didn't want me there I would have turned around, his approval meant more than the shot. I have more Loon images than anything else, it is apparent how much I love them. I pray he makes it back this Spring to raise another family.

I had prepared this photo to celebrate 21 years of flickr but after posting I understood how it worked this year. Anyway I was bold in proposing it

Thank you for your visits and comments, they're all greatly appreciated. Have a great weekend!

Strelitzia 'Bird of Paradise' cultivar shows its colours all in the one spot. The cultivar is a grand garden plant flowering at length in profusion in the right conditions. Macro image captured in my home garden in the sub-tropical Gold Coast hinterland.

Bold, Strong, Defiant, Dark and Intense............

Taken in an outdoor grocery in an overcrowded square of Athens, I tried to isolate this sea (actually a mountain) of strawberries to achieve a shot full of bold colour.

I had a lot of goldfinches hanging around my yard over the summer this year. They spent a lot of time near the bird feeders, but most of the time didn't actually use the feeders, for whatever reason.
