Phidippus audax is a common jumping spider of North America. It is commonly referred to as the bold jumping spider. These spiders are easily identified both by their relatively large size and their iridescent chelicerae.

I feel very honored to be blogging for a very talented and amazing creator today, one of the kindest people - Titzuki from Fakeicon! This coat turned out amazing and I love the different designs that come with it. This shot is a bit different from my usual settings but I was excited to try out something new. We've been joking around that every time I blog for Fakeicon I somehow end up naked. He did so amazing with this cape though - that's the only clothing I need. Το σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα μέσα στο οποίο ευρέθησαν τα χρήματα αλλά και η ταχύτατη ταυτοχρόνως δε επιτυχέστατη αποκατάστασίς της οφείλονται αδιαμφισβήτητα στην παρρησία των πρεσβειών τής εικονογραφουμένης εις αυτήν προς τον Σωτήρα Χριστό.
Η φωτογραφία είναι από την ιερά λιτάνευσή της στον πανηγυρικό εσπερινό προς τιμήν της Αγίας την 25η Ιουλίου 2020 καθόσον πρόλαβε να είναι παρούσα με όλη την καινή λαμπρότητα στον εφετινό εορτασμό κατά την διάρκεια του οποίου το ιερό αυτό αποθησαύρισμα κατέστη πλέον και η εφέστιος εικών του Ι.Ναού του χωριού μας (Νομή Τρικάλων).
The young and very active priest of our village recently brought up piles of sacred icons dating from the 16th to the 18th century and made the bold decision, if God permits, to slowly restore them all.
First, as was natural, the holy icon of the patron saint of our village, Saint holy virgin martyr Paraskevi, was chosen.
The short period of time in which the money was found and its rapid and at the same time very successful restoration are undoubtedly due to the parsimony of the embassies illustrated in it to the Savior Christ.
The photo is from her holy litany at the panegyrical vespers in honor of the Saint on July 25, 2020 as she managed to be present with all the new splendor in this year's celebration during which this sacred hoarding became the central icon of Η. Church of our village (Νomi of Trikala).

HAPPY WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S) !
Old windows were bold windows! IMO (with occasional exceptions) modern windows are not nearly as much fun to see and photograph. Also, I wish that three of these window had less plain blinds. Windows like these deserve interesting blinds and curtains to entertain us passersby.
NB - These are upper-story windows. However, I shot them from down in the street. Later, I used the "Unskew" tool in my editing program to make it seem as if we are viewing them head-on. This is less trouble and less intrusive, I think, than lugging around and using a noisy camera drone to get the same effect.

I had a lot of goldfinches hanging around my yard over the summer this year. They spent a lot of time near the bird feeders, but most of the time didn't actually use the feeders, for whatever reason.

Captured in September 2020. I wasn't allowed to dye my hair as a teenager so as an adult I actually dyed my hair fire-engine red once. Philippidus audax, one of the most common spiders across N. America. This little guy is about 1/4 inch (6.35mm) long and filled with personality. This one was hanging out on our glass storm door, so I was able to get the shot by propping the lens against the glass and getting his attention.
