At the flood plains of Las Vegas otherwise known as the intersection of Desert Inn and Valley View.

In a city of millions, you come across a few who looks at the world in the same light.

When your dreams mingle, its nothing short of sheer magic.

"Ha-Mim. By the manifest Book that makes things clear. We sent it down on a blessed night. Verily, We are ever warning. Therein (that night) is decreed every matter with wisdom." Surah Ad Dukhan, Verse : 1-4.

I'm searching for a purpose; a light that will just show me the way. But I forget that that light has to come from me, you can't rely on others to give you happiness. The light must be found from within!

Well I am a very happy. I expected this to be a trial run; but I am insanely happy with this! My technical eye notices room for improvement for sure, but this was something I had never tried (shooting low light) and I'm pretty stoked!

Star of Wonder

In the traditional Christian story of Christmas, a star is described that glowed so bright in the sky that three kings, also known as wise men, followed it and it led them to Bethlehem shortly after the baby Jesus was born. Known as the Star of Bethlehem, this bright star has been intriguing to astronomers who have developed several possible explanations of what that astronomic sighting may have been.

Some think it was a nova (an exploding star that would stay bright in the sky for a few days). Others hypothesize that it was not a star, but a comet. The most probable astronomical hypothesis to explain the bright star is a planetary conjunction. A conjunction is when two or more objects appear very close together in the sky.

Star of wonder, star of night! Star of royal beauty bright; westward leading, still proceeding, guide us to thy Perfect Light.

--Excerpted from the Christmas carol, "We Three Kings of Orient Are" (John Henry Hopkins, 1857)

it's been a while this fella stay inside the drybox, wanted to go out, to see the world. One day, we'll go out again, so just be in the drybox for a little while. :)

Bokeh instead of Jack today.

I'm continuing my slightly ironic journey of experimental bokeh photos. Surely this wordplay has been illustrated before, but I haven't seen it :)

Have a great Friday night!

The VDO of green bokeh lights and the yellow bokeh lights are dancing with each others. This is not something we have ever seen in our life before cause no one ever know that bokeh lights can dance too! :D

My first foray into a bit of abstract...

Taken on the 401 Hwy passing through Scarborough, Toronto with the sun just over the horizon and the glow of city lights.

Figured I title this with a little pun for the recent lawsuit against the song "Blurred Lines".

It has been a glorious sunny light the last week or so around the coast and inlands. With the warm temperature the beautiful haze and mist came too, and I couldn't resist to enhance that hazy light in Lightroom. The heads of Ayr in the background.

Have a joyful season!

Thank you for all the nice comments on my previous post. I really appreciate them. I am glad that things are back to normal.

It's not a tack sharp pic and I blame my shaky hands for the blurry pic. Been thinking about getting a tripod. Any recommendations?

EXPLORED # 81 best position so far, thank you!

I was listening to this version of Silent Night while writing this and it was so beautiful I thought I would share it with you!

.... To me, this is a very special bible and must have been truly loved by

its original owner. The name is written inside with a message but its not

easy to decipher.

The date written on the inside cover is 1879 - so from my calculations it

will be 131 this year!

I have had it since I was about 10. I found it at a church jumble sale and

was so drawn to it, it was full of pressed flowers and little clippings. A

lot of the flowers over time have literally turned to dust but those shown

on the pages are original. Something drew me to it .. and I have treasured

it since.

I gave in and bought my Nikon 50mm 1.4G lens - this was a result of me

playing with it - it wasn't easy as the text in the book is so small and I

used a slightly longer handheld exposure and no flash to capture to lights in the

background. i'm not sure I have done it justice ... as they say practice

makes perfect!

I wish you all a fabulous year of peace, love, good health and prosperity!

It's almost time for the big guy to come down the chimney....is everybody ready? I am working on that "tag" game where we have to come up with 16 things about ourselves....so here are 16 of my Christmas ornaments for you to pick thru....heh hee....yeah, yeah...I'm workin' on it....

I wanted to do this for a while ~ the glossy pages reflected too much of the little lights.

The pages are from a book of love spells ♥

Aperture priority and no other light source :S I quite liked it, but might have to have another go! ♥
