A portrait series exploring the feeling of dysphoria. Disconnection between the self and the reflection, between presence and perception.

EXPLORED ..
The flower is one of the original dried flowers preserved inside - I wish I
knew the story behind it! There are many cuttings as well that have been
lovingly kept inside it.
These beautiful antique books are precious to me.
According to the date inside the bible with its dried pressed flowers its
nearly 132 years old, the little Psalm book and the beautifully illustrated
Bible Lilies book must be around the same age.

In the midst of this pre-Christmas madness we need to remember what Christmas is all about. Whatever your faith, religion or belief, I believe if we put others before ourselves the world would be a much happier place to live ♥
However or wherever you spend Christmas, I hope its a good one!
NB I ought to apologise for being a bit slow on the comments at the moment, Miss A has kindly shared her virus with me :S I am not feeling so good at the moment!

I tried to capture the bokeh lights of traffic jam in Bangkok and see what it look like. I hope you may like it. If you like it, I am happy :)
Mmm bokeh. I missed that. When I took this photo I didn't think this was something special. Just a quick shot of a parking ticket machine...but once again seeing this on my computer screen made me see this in a whole different light. I want to take more photos like this and I'm going to do that soon.

It's not unusual to find in Rome this stands with a lot of used books this one for example was near Piazza del Popolo.

I have this shot in mind, but before I take it I thought I would practice. With this shot I was using some old Christmas lights. Now I thought they were long enough to go in a circle and have the model in the middle, but they were not. So I had to angle them in a way that the model could fit in just a corner and have it look like she was in the middle. We had a few goes and got some shots where the Bokeh was perfect and around her and some that was not but the expression was perfect.
This image was a kind of in between, but that is what is fun about photography it is all about trail an error.
In post I cropped the image and increased the sharpness. I bought down the highlights, blacks and the pink saturation a bit and used a bit of split toning to bring a yellow and red look to the image.

Just a couple days ago those little two guys came by airmail from Japan. Danbo and his little friend Danbo Jr. wanted to show me, where they arrived in Germany, so they took me out to the airport to show me all those big airplanes. :-)
Have a great Saturday my friends.
I spotted this guy waiting for a tram and he was perfectly positioned because this is the shot I've been looking for some time now. For some people this probably isn't anything spectacular but for me this is a huge step forward with my photographing skills.

Here is only the bokeh as the main motiv in combination with strong backlicht in the drops.
