Fluid Sculpture: crown drop splash of acrylic paint with bokeh lights. In this image, I used the Lensbaby Twist60 to create the swirly bokeh effect behind the acrylic crown splash. This image was used as part of the Lensbaby marketing campaign several years ago.

Have a wonderful time with your family and loved ones and enjoy the next few days.

Oh and let me know what you think of this photo - I’m pretty proud of it, because it’s something totally different from my usual stuff and I’m not the most creative photographer.

15min from idea to the final result editing included, my time is really limited right now, so I have to be fast.

If you want such a star bokeh here a little tutorial:

- cut out a star (paper towel)

- attach it to the lens (with a rubber band)

- put lights in the background

- and shoot with wide open aperture

Last week I was out having fun capturing floral bushes and wee wild flowers using the foreground for a soft effect. The light did help a lot, full of peacefulness.

a fleeting moment, stretched wide in laughter, spilling into the air like sunlight breaking free from clouds. her hands clasped in a pause between bursts, the soft blur of the world behind her, the bokeh glowing like tiny stage lights for an unscripted performance.

155/365 Let there be Light

Leaving work tonight I was mesmerized by all of the bouncing blue lights created by an ambulance parked at the end of the pasaz. Out of habit I took my phone out to take a quick shot forgetting that I had my Nikon around my neck. As I took the picture I remembered my Nikon and took this one as well...... much better this one is. ...silly tired me. :)
