Commercial Road, Whitechapel

A boarded up window in the Scottish harbour of Eyemouth.

One of several cottages in this street reputed to have been relocated from the gold-mining town of Walhalla.

The Victorian Railways finally completed the railway line to Walhalla in 1910, sadly about the same time that mining in the area became unprofitable and most mines closed and the residents packed up and left. The population during the gold era peaked at around 4,000 compared with today's permanent population of approximately 20 residents.

So it was somewhat ironical that the railway line's main function became the removal of houses and other buildings from the town it was built to service. Today, they are dotted over many areas of Gippsland and beyond.

Although the aromatic scents were wafting in the breeze,

this doorway beside the main entrance of the restaurant just didn't look too inviting!

I wish my windows were boarded up, then I wouldn't have to look at all the snow and ice outside...

Colourful Graffiti on boarded-up storefronts (which I have named) in downtown Vancouver during the 2020 Pandemic

Graffiti is writing or drawings made on a wall or other surface, usually as a form of artistic expression, without permission and within public view. Wikipedia

PS I captured all of the images in the series from our car. Stay safe

2 Thessalonians 2:3 “Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness (the antichrist) is revealed—the one who brings destruction.”

2 Thessalonians 2:10 “He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.”

Yes, it's two shots of the same now-defunct waffle shop restaurant in downtown DC... but I love both of them. I finally just decided that I wasn't going to decide between them. It's up to you. :-)

I'm sure Groucho would have put it better, but when times are tuff sometimes the vernacular works just as well.

An abandoned motel in Crow Agency Montana - close to the Little Bighorn National Monument

Sometimes it can be a good idea to wander down forbidding looking alleys.

This one is south of Danforth near Main Street in Toronto. I really like the patterns and textures.

Not HDR.

This now defunct mexican restaurant is located next to my dentist's office, so I often wander over to take another shot or two of it's loud and colorful architecture. I ate there once, but didn't care for the loud atmosphere inside. They closed those happy looking doors last year, supposedly because of the pandemic.
