This is a picture of a highly addictive fidget spinner. The portion in the picture is about an inch long.

The main subject isn't always crystal clear. We've all encountered shots where the main subject isn't front and centre. Instead, it's tucked away in the background or gently blurred, leaving us to ponder and interpret its significance.

In those moments when the foreground takes precedence, and the main subject fades into abstraction, it's a reminder that significance isn't always about what's immediately apparent. Sometimes, it's about what lies beyond the obvious, waiting to be discovered.

NS 17K rolls through Westpoint on the Wabash at sundown. With lights a-blur, the Lehigh Valley 8104 heads towards Decatur. Thanks to MB for hauling my Slim Jim and Gatorade fueled ass around all day and setting up the portable suns to capture this final rollby of the day.

Just a bit of soft clouds around. Using deliberate blur and double exposure. As far as I know cataracts are not yet present!

Something a little bit different from my normal stuff to end the year! Twas a rather nice sunset down at Durdle Door and I suddenly remembered that I always wanted one of the blurred seascape shots I had seen other people do so I thought I would give it a go. This one is only 0.4 seconds long so it was a rather short one (well maybe I have no idea what the ideal length is for these types of shots) but I was really pleased with the colours it showed.

Anyway this will probably be my last upload for this year from what has been a great year! I have now finished my second year of driving of to random locations to try and capture the beauty of mother nature and I have loved almost every minute of it! This also marked the first year I attempted to enter a couple of competitions, well only one really which was the landscape photographer of the year which I managed to get into the final shortlist of. So I was rather pleased with that and hopefully next year I can go one step further and get one of my shots into the book!

Talking of next year I can't wait to visit some of the locations I'm planning! Currently I am laying down plans to visit the Lake District (possibly twice), North and South Devon Coast, Exmoor, Dartmoor and possibly some more of the Cornish Coast (I can't wait to be back in Plymouth for some of these places). I'm also planning trips to several special locations near me such as some poppy fields I have spied (that will hopefully be there next year), Stonehenge, a lovely Lavender field in Somerset, a couple of awesome Bluebell fields and I'm sure some other random bits of my home county of Dorset. To put it simply I cannot wait!

So I wish you a New Year and happy hunting for next year!

Después de un día sin parar de llover, decidió escampar durante un rato al llegar al inicio de la ruta del Cares.

No sabía como sacarle chicha a una imagen con el cielo tan triste, así que he hecho mi primer "efecto maqueta".

Definitely Dreaming 'blurred' theme. (21/52)

I finally put my Lensbaby on the camera and went for a short walk without the dogs - essential when I have to use manual focus.

I was experimenting with intentional movement for the first time, and I must say it was fun.

On Queens Blvd. in New York City. This is two "live composite" shots merged together in Photoshop - one with a 7 train arriving, the other with one departing on the opposite track.

One of my favorite ways to experiment with motion blur is always with leafless trees.

STOP! Life moves at such a rapid pace that much too often we miss the most memorable moments in our lives and we're left with nothing but an insignificant blur.
