I borrowed Mr. Flamingo from my Floridian friend. He has wings that flap all day long as long as he is in the sun (he is solar powered). Most work caused me the background this time. To simulate a sunset I put my orange egg from a previous Macro Mondays on a Bajan sunset which I thought would be fast, but it wasn't. The layered photo was used as a background on my computer. Mr. Flamingo stood in front of it. The next difficulty was getting light on Mr. Flamingo without making him too shiny. I used a torch to make his wings flap and it took quite a few tries to get the wings going but not to shine it directly on his highly reflective surface.

Abandonment and decay can sometime blur the lines of dreams and reality. But whatever state, this old northern Illinois farmhouse maintains a sense of beauty, especially with a fresh blanket of snow....

Immer wieder mal nett, dieser Effekt, finde ich.

Foto for the Swedish group Fotosöndag. This weeks theme is "blurred”.

A misty morning with intentional blur. This is how Melbournians may be feeling as we learn today whether our lockdown is extended (Yes another 7 days until 10 June inclusive). Infections are being tracked to NSW and around into regional Victoria which is concerning.

So more vigilance and more vaccinations are the tasks for authorities today. For me, I am so rugged up against the cooler days and waiting it out, working from home and wandering the streets again for my daily exercise.

With a bit of wonderful Kerstin Frank texture.

It's all just a big blur...which will most likely continue right into year's end. A nice Thanksgiving, spent with family.... an overnight shift with my Kohl's family....drive home, an hour's sleep and a shower and a full busy day at work... back to Kohls to shop for things that I forgot that my daughter asked me to get. The end result... I hardly even know what day it. Oh, yeah... it's Friday... so here's a fence. LOL! I'm going to sleep now so I can stay awake at my desk tomorrow. 'Tis the season.... is it any wonder why I don't really like the holidays anymore?!!

Happy Fence Friday... I hope your Thanksgiving brought you more fun than work!!

I was going to delete this shot, but decided I really rather like it. The big tree at the back is the Buddhasugi, a cedar tree some 2000 years old.

Intentional Blur, this for me was the hardest that MM has thrown at us, after years of trying to get a photo sharp I now had to get a blurred one, I tried everything I had in the house and in the end turned to a glass of wine!

I took many many pictures of this fibre optic lamp. I let the fibres hang stationary for half of the exposure and then used a lens cleaning puffer to move them to create the blur. HMM!
