This damselfly was perched on the blade of grass and it began to fly as I pressed the shutter. Actually the insect was in focus while it perched, as you can see the focused underside of the leaf there. I kind of liked the wing blur, so instead of deleting it I posted it! Fun-Fun.

I felt this image lent itself to a Pano 16:9 Composition. As the blurred bottom and blue skies overhead seemed to add little to the overall image, However the surrounding in focus environment speaks volumes to the tundra and the areas in which these birds breed in the Arctic.
Using tripod is not allowed at this observation deck. Then I put my camera on the counter and took this shot. It was blurred partially. I didn't know why because I tested my new lens.
My first attempt at motion blur.
For those new to motion blur, notice how everything except the main object in the pic(the small car) is blurred. This effect is acheived by keeping the exposure long and aiming and moving the camera along with the moving object.
Shot on the way back from Khandala to Mumbai.
A beautiful day, it had just stopped raining. The plants and the trees were all a fresh green. The lovely view of clouds drifting over the hills (ghaats) made us stop and I saw an opportunity to experiment with motion blur.
This is a hand held shot, no tripod :)

Hey all! I’m so, so sorry I haven’t been posting. I was laid off from my job on February 10th, a few days before my last post. I’ve not been feeling well, in fact I’m still not, and this blog just felt too much like work that I couldn’t deal with.
I lost my grandmother and a great aunt, as well as a good friend, in the month leading up to me loosing my job, so this year has been simply overwhelming. Currently I’m trying to find a job that isn’t too far from my apartment, since I have an unfortunate fear of driving, and I don’t trust my car to keep it together for much longer and I want to be able to walk.
Mostly the thought of me working with new people, in a new place, is overwhelming. I don’t make friends easily, and I’m honestly a very shy person that usually gets misunderstood as unfriendly. After five and half years at my job, and especially after working through all of lockdown and the height of the pandemic last year, I didn’t have much of a reason to worry about being let go – my position was simply eliminated, and like so many other retail companies they are hiring more part-time employees instead of full-timers, so they couldn’t move me into another position within my store.
I’ve not really left the apartment much over the last four months, and I’ve not really seen any of my friends anyway, so maybe moving on to a different job won’t be so hard. I’ve just reached the point that I can’t think of what to do past tomorrow – I won’t make plans for next month, the month ever, because in my mind my future is nonexistent and I can’t get past thinking that way. I’m not suicidal, I just want to cease to exist. I can’t afford to see a psychiatrist or whatever right now, and I haven’t seen my parents or any of my siblings for three years now and I don’t know if I want to see or talk to them because I feel like such a useless person right now.

Arrancamos la semana en Miel y Limón con Blur (desenfoque), una semanica original y diferente del resto, vamos a ir al revés... y vamos a ver todo desenfocado, nos va preocupar más; cuanto desenfocar y cuanto bokeh obtener, que la nitidez que siempre buscamos e intentamos obtener. Todo un reto, ¿no?

After a big all-day party we went for a family walk on Malibu beach late in the day. Everyone probably thought I was taking nice photos of my nieces, but I was only using them as anonymous blurs. After I was done with my blurry ones, I took a few pretty and straightforward ones for the family albums.
