Don't cover your eyes
When new faces surround you;
Take in each detail.
I met new people today. I threw myself into an uncomfortable place, because I am tired of hoping. I am tired of the words "someday..." and "I want to..." I am ready to start moving. I am ready to act to be who I want to be. And if that means discomfort, then bring it on.
Also, I looked my new friend in the eye and told him what I thought he needed to hear. I meant it, and he knew that. I am going to do this more, for it enriches others and it enriches myself.

I was about to delete this photo after I took it but then I started to like the tones and blurred roundish shapes. Somehow it reminded me of animal pictures by Franz Marc (one of my favourite expressionist artists by the way). - So this is an abstract Embla, destroying a branch...

Yes! Wolfie is actually a crocheted plushie.
I made Wolfie for my two-year-old nephew, Liam. Apparently, Liam is a connoisseur of soft things--he likes to caress something soft with one hand and then suck his fingers in the other! :)
I too remain amazed that there's a yarn out there as plush as the one I used on Wolfie, so I thought I'd share the secret: I double-stranded identical colors of worsted-weight wool AND an ultra-soft Italian polyamid/nylon lash yarn called Apart (GGH). This lash yarn was a donation from the owners of the Chix with Stix yarn shop in Forest Park, Illinois.

When I first read the theme the word that popped into my head was 'abstract'. I set out to take a totally different shot than this but it just kept evolving. Would love to tweak it slightly in composition and shot it again for a wall hanging one day.
