The Isle of May lighthouse is down on the horizon about mid-picture. You can see a tiny speck of light in the middle of the horizon. That's it!

For the view without the beacon shining, see previous picture!

A gap I didn't time, and then 4 flashes, 2 seconds apart, I think.

And the foreground is quite bright because we're sitting on a bench under some street lights! Cockenzie Power Station is just visible among the lights on the right but was demolished the following day!

I wonder if this Toys R' Us in Times Square actually moves a lot of Jurassic Park merchandise. I mean, the last movie was, what, five years ago?

It takes a special kind of willpower to out-stare a sheep, and eyes that can handle getting as dry as the Gobi Desert. Was I that man? Were those my eyes?

You can see the ones at the back were wondering just how long we could keep this up.

Animated gif of our car's dashboard this afternoon. I turned on the car for a few minutes to keep the battery charged - it's been so cold and the battery is so old, that we need to do this to make sure the car will start when we want it to.

These are battery powered Christmas lights that I found at Target. Battery holder takes 4 AA cells and has an on/off switch. No batteries included - so I put in some rechargeables, and so far the batteries have been running 2 days. The pattern constantly changes, from a slower color change to a rapid blink. Each "snowflake" changes from blue to red to green to gold to orange - very cool stuff. It would be nice to be able to tell it to slow down the blinking to a more mellow speed!
