My Nikon D70 suffered the Blinking Green Light of Death and has been gone for repair almost a month. I miss my camera! So I'm going over older photos to find things to post to Flicker. This is a deer (I think) way at in a meadow in Yosemite Valley. I took it with a long lens handheld, so set the ISO high and the aperature wide open. The noice and blurriness make me yearn for a vibration-reducing lens.
Bastet always blinks when I'm doing flash photography.
In the background I've got vim open working on some bit of the AspectML implementation.

"Oh, nobody understands anything, we're all just here, blinking in the light like kittens."
The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge spanning the River Tyne
The award-winning structure was conceived and designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre and structural engineers Gifford. It was built by Volker Stevin in 2000.
The bridge is sometimes referred to as the Blinking Eye Bridge due to its shape and its tilting method.
This tilting arrangement allows ships up to 82ft in height to pass under. The bridge takes as little as 4.5 minutes to rotate through the full 40° from closed to open, depending on wind speed!
I must say, I really got annoyed at first that this tiger did always blink just when I pressed the shutter. But regarding the fact that the Tiger blinking is now my most favorited photograph, I'm happy to give you another shot ;)

Blinking City is a project investigating the inadequacy of traditional maps for city environments characterized by fast pace transformation and urban growth. As soon as the map is done, the city it describes has already gone. We transferred one of the Blinking City pattern, based on a collage of several Hutong neighbourhoods of Beijing, onto a wall of a dilapidated courtyard house in Xianyukou district, located in the core of the city.

An ostrich blinking - pictures at the Bear Farm, Veresegyháza, Hungary. / Érdekes, ahogy a struccok pislognak - képek a medvefarmon.
We visited the Farm with local friends, who picked us up at the railway station. There were many other animals at the farm, too - the kids enjoyed the visit very much. We also ate lunch there, which was amazingly cheap due to a half price promotion on that special day.
The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge spanning the River Tyne in England between Gateshead's Quays arts quarter on the south bank, and the Quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne on the north bank. The award-winning structure was conceived and designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre and structural engineers Gifford.[1] The bridge is sometimes referred to as the 'Blinking Eye Bridge'[2] or the 'Winking Eye Bridge'[3] due to its shape and its tilting method. In terms of height, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge is slightly shorter than the neighbouring Tyne Bridge, and stands as the sixteenth tallest structure in the city.

The Blinking Eyes of Everything, by Geoffrey Farmer.
This installation had visitors face stroboscopic machines that could create hallucinations in those who sit nearby with their eyes closed.
