As the Christmas lights were switched on in the town centre, members of the Kingston Cycling Campaign (KCC) were busy flagging down cyclists who were riding without lights and offering to fit their bikes with lights free of charge.

Between 5:30 and 7pm John Dunn, Derek Underwood and Jon Fray fitted 19 lights to bikes in Old London Road. Some bikes needed both front and rear lights, while others needed just one. The lights provided by the KCC were kidney-shaped LED models fitted with batteries to last for months, purchased from Waldens Cycles in London Road. The lights have a steady light mode as well as two blinking modes to increase drivers' awareness. The KCC funded the initiative from payments it had received for providing bicycle maintenance courses through Kingston's Adult Education programme.

SALVATION, Rebecca’s Latest Album, Now Available to Stream!

Country: United States - Style: Hyperpop Music

Rebecca Black is well known for her 2011 viral YouTube music video, Friday. That music video was formerly one of the most disliked videos of all time before YouTube ultimately hid all of the dislike counts from public view a decade later in 2021. Despite all of the hate (and dislikes), Rebecca never gave up on her dream of becoming a full-time pop music artist. Rebecca Black ultimately released her debut album, Let Her Burn, on February 9, 2023, and peaked at Number 8 on the Apple iTunes Pop Album charts. Rebecca has also SOLD OUT on the majority of the Cities across United States and Canada during Let Her Burn and SALVATION Tours.

I decided to make a blinking lightning gif for fun. (You need to download original size to see it moving.)

This is what happens when you try to take a mouse away from Oranjello. He also managed to bite me without taking the mouse out of his mouth. Not sure how that works.

He also bit all my fingers off! (Just kidding.)

blinking, growling.

Oranjello the cat, blood, hand, injury, mouse.

kitchen, Clint and Carolyn's house, Alexandria, Virginia.

December 7, 2009.

... Read my blog at ClintJCL.wordpress.com

... Read Carolyn's blog at CarolynCASL.wordpress.com

BACKSTORY: Oranjello caught a baby mouse. (And then another the next day. And then a 3rd on the 3rd day!) Carolyn was in the kitchen and she went into the rec room and saw the cats playing, and she heard a squeak. Then Oranjello started running towards her to the kitchen, and that's when she noticed the rodent hanging out of his mouth. He went to the utility room and just sat there with it in his mouth for a second, then he took off back into the rec room. That's when she called out to Clint, who came down with the camera. Lemonjello was trying to check it out, so Oranjello started growling... Pretty much non-stop.

The poor mouse didn't last very long though. ): But Oranjello wasn't about to let anyone take it away from him.

That's three mice in three days. (And a snake very recently.)

Oranjello is picking off their family one by one! Excellent! Mouse droppings in your silverware drawer SUCK. Read about hantavirus, which is linked to breathing in dust that comes in contact with mouse droppings, at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hantavirus ... This is something the US actually weaponized for bio-warfare before they canceled that program.

ANYWAY.... 3 videos were taken of Oranjello growling with the mouse in his mouth! Here they are, from best to worst:

1) The best: Turning his growling on and off like a light switch: www.flickr.com/photos/clintjcl/4174576402/

2) Hard to breathe with a mouse in your mouth? Unfortunately the video got a little corrupted: www.flickr.com/photos/clintjcl/4174617564/

3) Crap-quality mostly-audio of Oranjello growling: farm3.static.flickr.com/2741/4174676860_466c7e7676_m.jpg

when i was young, i swore that one of my dolls blinked at me. and she wasn't the kind with the blinking eyes. no one ever believed me though.

blinking dolls still kind of freak me out.

I wish there had been enough space in between buildings to step back and make this more head-on and less angled; as it is - I'm just confused about the odd left windows. Did they remove the old ones and then decide to replace them with newer, smaller windows? The bottom left window - I don't even know.

Deboxing my Pullip Snow White doll. First the seal on the top lid is broken, and the inner box is removed by sliding it out of the outer box. Then the contents of the box are removed, and laid down on the floor before being assembled. First I test the blinking mechanism of the doll. There are two spring loaded buttons on the back of her head, under her hair. When they are pushed all the way down, they close the eyelids of each eye, and lock in place. Her eyelids have a considerably darker color than the rest of her face. To unlock them, push the buttons upwards (towards the top of her head). Then the eyelids will open again. The lever in the middle is to move her eyes to the left or right, in unison.

I just received a Pullip Snow White 12'' doll from PullipStyle on eBay. I ordered her Tuesday night and got her on Friday. She is very beautiful, with an outstanding outfit. Her wearable accessories include an apple purse, large satin ribbon and red high heeled shoes. She also comes with a doll stand, and a character card. She has gray-blue eyes, that can blink and move side to side, using buttons and levers on the back of her head. She has long black hair with large curls, and her legs are covered by white tights. Now my Pullip Dal Tinker Bell has a big sister doll to keep her company.

The closest thing we have to an actual "high street" here in Brno. There's these overhead light thing fixtures which make for some pretty neat out of focus lights (I think).

Looks much better on black.

Comments and critique welcome!

Blinking City is a project investigating the inadequacy of traditional maps for city environments characterized by fast pace transformation and urban growth. As soon as the map is done, the city it describes has already gone. We transferred one of the Blinking City pattern, based on a collage of several Hutong neighbourhoods of Beijing, onto a wall of a dilapidated courtyard house in Xianyukou district, located in the core of the city.

To the place of a blinking light

Wishing traffic was faster

Traffic was faster

Keeping safe distance

But courting disaster

We could dance all night

To the sounds of a starting fight

Hoping change would come around

Change would come around

Amazing division

How sweet the sound

My mom or I (I can't remember which one) had the idea for them to slide down the halfpipe side thing and it reminded us of gilmore girls when they did the life and death brigade stuff so I told them to hold hands and slide. My stupid flash didn't go off but I still really liked the picture so I just went a little crazy with editing, and yeah.

A view of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge taken from the southern (Gateshead) bank of the Tyne looking north across the river towards Newcastle.

The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge spanning the River Tyne between the Gateshead arts quarter on the south bank and the Quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne on the north bank. Opened for public use in 2001, the award-winning structure was conceived and designed by architectural practice Wilkinson Eyre and structural engineering firm Gifford. The bridge is sometimes referred to as the 'Blinking Eye Bridge' or the 'Winking Eye Bridge' due to its shape and its tilting method.

This residential home was once an inn called The Blinking Owl. It stands beside a historic bridge over the River Ure at Boroughbridge - one half of it in the North Riding of Yorkshire, the other in the West Riding. This kneeler can be seen in the Church of St. James, nearby. Artist unknown, but obviously very talented.

its a little habit I picked up.

This is a very unique red tailed hawk with all of this white, but he is in fact a red tailed hawk. Two photos here. In one, he is blinking, and in the other he is not.

At first I thought that it was just a coincidence that the top of the lid looked like a face but the "eyes" have no function that I can see except to look like eyes. One eye is even blinking.

Gateshead's Millennium Bridge is the world's first and only tilting bridge.

Remember that these damaged parts are polarized electrolytic capacitors and lead placement is critical. Make sure that the + sign near the capacitor lead matches up with the + sign on the circuit board.
