Blessing of the foundations of a new six floor apartment building in Chiang Mai Thailand by Brahmin priest. Most Thais, whether or not they profess to be Buddhists, believe in a rich supernatural world. When ill, or at other times of crisis, or to seek supernatural help, Thais may enlist the aid of a practitioner who is believed to be able to propitiate or obtain help from various spirits. Local spirits are believed to inhabit a variety of objects, and shrines to them may be found in houses, businesses in Buddhist temples, along roads, and in forests. Blessing ceremonies to ward off evil spirits and bad luck are carried out both by Buddhist monks and Brahmins.

St. Gertrude celebrated installation of the pipe organ with solemn vespers. During the vespers service the organ was blessed for its holy service to the liturgy. After vespers a new reliquary, was blessed an installed beneath the altar of sacrifice.
You choose an animal and then throw your coin in. Each animal represents a blessing. We all chose the dragon (blessing of honor) nobody was really feeling the carp (blessing of sons).
This is the greatest irony. In amoungst streets of houses live this little community / informal house. Above it the graffiti reads "You will be a blessing". Say no more.

This is a closeup of the two rainbows that were touching. There were three of them hovering over our house. Sorry not as clear as it was in real life, my camera is cheap!
Ten years ago, there was a little rainbow fragment over our little house in Bellevue. When I saw it, I felt it was an indication of God blessing us. I was newly single, very poor, with toddlers, and it did make me feel less shell-shocked. And things did get better.
