On April 9, 2017, Bishop David Walkowiak marked the start of Holy Week with the celebration of Mass on Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, Grand Rapids.
Father John Geaney, CSP, rector/pastor of the cathedral and Father Bill Edens, CSP, associate pastor, concelebrated. Deacon Jerry Roersma assisted during the Mass. The liturgy began with the blessing of the palms by the bishop. Palm Sunday Mass commemorates Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem where he was welcomed by crowds worshiping him and laying down palm leaves before him.

Blessings come in many shapes,
In sizes large and small,
But a brand new little baby
is the sweetest of them all.
- This is my newly born nephew, Ezyan. I have became an uncle now. This explained my absence from Flickr for 1 week, to be back in Malaysia for a joyous moment with my sister and my family.

On older doors will write some blessing words like family be blessed hope, many sons and grandsons, safe and healthy, and so on.
A patch I made for the blessingway of a special woman. About 35 woman are each making a patch to be sewn together to make a blessing birth blanket.
Bikers swarmed into Hollister Palm Sunday for the 9th annual bike blessing. Turnout estimated at 20% bigger than last year. Presiding priest was Father Clark at Sacred Heart Presbyterian Church.
Father Clark of Sacred Heart Chruch in Hollister sprinkles holy water on the rows of bikes parked up 5th street. Though this is the 9th Hollister Bike Blessing, Father Clark is blessing bikes for the first time.
the green mango has opened up a sister store, the noodle hut, less
than a minute's walk from my house -- on south braddock ave.
where this is the noodle hut, I am a noodle nut!
in most asian cuisine, I prefer the noodles to rice.
well, their sign said "open" tonight.
with the bomb scare nonsense, I think it hosed any chance of tonight's
dinner rush going smoothly.
caleb and I got their last appetizers of the evening.
they even ran out of mangos!
caleb enjoyed the pad thai.
I enjoyed drunken noodles.
this could be very bad and habit-forming!
but fortunate at the same time!
