People, people, people,

you know what it means to be left alone

People, people, people,

you know what it means to be left alone

No letter today,

not even a call on my telephone

Understandin' an' a little lovin',

a little lovin' is all in the world I need

Understandin' an' a little lovin', baby,

a little lovin' is all in the world I need

Misunderstandin' in a no good woman,

they both have caused my heart to bleed

Every morning,

the willow weep an' moan for me

Every morning,

the willow weeping moan for me

The boy sing me a little song,

my baby's caused my heart to bleed

Bleeding heart ("Dutchman's breeches"), St. Cloud, MN

This sheet and the previous one are two examples of a stack of tissue colored papers stacked and water sprayed resulting in random patterns.

bleeding heart is one of my all time favorites. This is a smaller compact plant 12-15" high and unlike the old fashioned variety it blooms virtually all summer long. It's coming up like gangbusters, it loves this cool damp weather!

I just looked at this photo again, it looks like a bunch of parsley!

My Bleeding heart plant is absolutely stunning this year - taken in early morning light today

A white piece of tissue paper was included in the stack resulting in this strange pattern

After driving around just a little bit today, my heart goes out to all those who have lost so much. I saw one house today that was literally an island. Their whole house was surrounded totally by water, including a pickup truck submerged. The local river that separates my community from the next, Nashua, peaked tonight at 59 inches. So far, the dams around the area seem to be holding. But there are other rivers and other homes that are totally washed out and have lost everything.

So sad...

An image of bleeding hearts taken with my Canon PowerShot. I decided to create an editable duo tone. In Photoshop CS6, I set the fill color to Magenta and selected Bas Relief in the filter gallery. The layer was set to 100% Hue leaving tones of black and magenta. To add contrast to the entire image, a levels adjustment layer was used. The heart flowers were selected and a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer was used to darken the whites. To smooth out edges, glowing edges was used. Here is some camera information about this image: F-stop: f/4 Exposure time: 1/200 sec ISO Speed: ISO-80 Focal Length: 6mm Max aperture: 2.75 Metering mode: Pattern No Flash

Jen took this picture. This is an awesome shot, awesome composition. View large, better the original.

She had to lay down on the ground, get her clothes all dirty. But it was worth it.

color of tears from my bleeding heart .

love has unfortunately often the same taste as sadness ...

The bleeding heart flowers are fleeting in the spring, but so beautiful!
