These are my favorite flowers. My grandmother used to grow these in her garden and I have fond memories of hanging around in the garden admiring them.

Lest anyone think me a total native-plants Nazi, I actually like these better than the woodland dicentras. And I think I'm going to like this lens, too.
I do not understand what creates this condition. It appears the tree is bleeding sap out a series of holes possibly caused by birds or insects.
This is the bleeding heart that I got for my mom last year on Mother's Day. It is doing surprisingly well in it's second year. And, I should also mention that this was the first shot I took with my D40.
