Taken against a velvet black box with natural light.

In our garden.

Have a nice day!

This massive cat is the boss of the neighborhood!

When he passes by even the crows flee ...

I went to him and shot a few photos, which bored him.

Then I approached and offered him my hand to sniff;

he sniffed, and I became bolder;

he even let me touch and stroke him - up to a point:

then he bit heartily into my hand that the skin almost separated from the flesh!

When he let go, I had deep bleeding wounds.

We played together for a short time until I left him.

Anyway, he of course claimed his territory!

He is the boss!

HEART - MACRO MONDAYS

lamprocapnos spectabilis

Japanese folklore has a tale about a spurned prince who killed himself by sword when a lovely maiden rejected his gifts, which are all represented by different petals from the flower.

. . . The Bleeding Hearts in the yard are just about done, but I managed to crawl around and find a few that still looked good. Sometimes they just look better wet!

Have a good week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!

Lamprocapnos spectabilis,

bleeding heart. It is so easy to see why they have their common name.

Processed with Topaz Texture Blue Splatter

Dicentra spectabilis (common name Bleeding Heart) flowers with drops of morning dew still remaining inside the petals.

The phrase "bleeding heart" is used to describe one who shows excessive sympathy for another person's misfortune and is often thrown as an insult toward more liberal people and especially politicians. But before this use, the term is seen in literature describing sincere emotional outpouring, often taking association with the heart of Jesus Christ. My image is intended to have the latter meaning.

One more capture of these dainty bleeding hearts.

I like the complimentery colors and contrast of the fuchsia and green here!

First blooms from the plants I started about 3 years ago. It was worth the wait.

It's been hysterical at work and it will be so for a while, and I haven't

had the time to be on flickr anything. I have definitely missed a lot of

great photo's from you all and I'll try to catch up as soon as I can.

The music for today is A hawk and a hacksaw

And a little bit of light :)
