Blackwork samples worked in faggot stitch. As shown in the tutorial in next photo, faggot stitch is just back stitch done in steps. These motifs were easy, fun and fast to make with this stich, whereas if I had made them in double-running stitch it would have taken a lot longer and I would probably have lost time trying to figure where I was and fixing mistakes.
