The final finish of my blackwork Spring Garden bookmark, which was a free design from my first stitch-along, The ES Blackwork "Spring Garden" SAL, which ran on my blog, Eglantine Stitchery, from May 20th to July 1st, 2013.

2010 / 2011 finishes. One of my first attempts at blackwork and now I just love blackwork.

I've been working up various blackwork design themes to incorporate into borders and patterns. I love how my mermaid and the two smaller shells turned out. I'm going to do a larger version of the mermaid but she's pretty cute tiny.

My second tattoo. This was done on January 26, 2010 at Chicago Tattoo Co. in Winter Park, Florida. This is my right foot.
I love writing and journaling, and I wanted a pen tattoo to capture my love of analog writing. I had a general idea, and the artist came back with this - I love it. The 'swoop' of drawn lines/ink and the heart are my favorite part. I love that heart.

freehand embroidered in black cotton thread on pink and cream oak leaf print decorator linen. measures about 1 1/8 inches high by 1 inch wide. I feel like there needs to be something else in this picture but not sure what yet...

Okay, the kitties have learned to drink their milk and we're on a schedule. Back to work!
I am really pleased with how this is turning out. The red is just enough, and the entire pattern is working up into a richly decorated textile. Now if I can just work in some extra hours in the day...
This one I hope stitchers will change - it's meant to use your own favorite alphabet, text, colors, etc. I wish the photo showed the colors betetr - the flower and text are done in the brightest
cherry, tangerine, and lemon I could find without going "neon".
Constituent pieces of my (well, Jack's) Warwick shirt, each with the edges finished. I'm redoing the edges of the collar and cuffs with drawn-thread and hemstitch.
These pieces will each be outlined with buttonhole stitch in red thread, then put together with insertion stitch.

Ornament #5 -- Serendipity Designs' Blackwork Star ornament from one of the JCS ornie issues. Stitched on natural 16-ct. aida with green rayon floss. When I'm done, this will be backed with green felt. Started 02/28/2003, completed 03/12/2003.
