Here's the finished sampler postcard, added the red for a bit of a lift. The stitching is straight , the photo isn't :)

I like this pattern in part because each of the smallest elements represents a leaf and this is the smallest leaf that exists in Blackwork.
When I saw this expression, it made me think of two people in particular, and I immediately decided to make bookmarks for them with this saying on it.

My cross stitch projects are advancing so slowly I decided to take a picture of my small collection of cross stitch books. Most of them I have bought from Amazon.co.uk (new or used) or my local hobby bookshop.
My first cross stitch book was Subversive cross stitch by Julie Jackson, the latest is Love kills slowly cross-stitch.
Hmm... None of my DMC pattern booklets are here. I wonder where they are.
