A during photo of my Glass selection pattern. It was fun creating this one and the wine bottles pattern but I wish I had stitched in in a different colour now, never mind I might do another one when I get round to it.

Blackwork ATC stitched using a pattern found on the Blackwork Embroidery Archives. I liked this pattern because of the rosettes, but once it was stitched up the empty (white) space caught my attention even more (e.g. the 2 squarish-things in the center). The rosette by itself is in the purplework ATC.
Swapbot - black fabric/fiber ATC swap
2 strands over 14 count fabric.
So one day Bascom Hogue asked me if I wanted to swap with him. After the smelling salts were administered and I was back up off of the ground, I told him YES YES OH MY GOD YES.
I had a hard time figuring out what to make him at first because I didn't want to offend him, as he's a Mennonite and I wasn't sure if he'd be comfortable with some of the things I normally make. Via email I got to know him better and found out I had nothing to worry about.
He also mentioned William Carlos Williams at one point, which got me thinking about poetry and then this happened. Walt Whitman just seemed more stitchable than Mr. Williams.
If this looks a little familiar, it is... And yes, I know it's not a muscle, it's an organ. :)
my left sleeve; half sleeve of blackwork floral and color geometric is finished! [all work, Clark Kent, Slave to the Needle, Ballard] can't wait to start on the lower half...sometime next year...
This combination cross stitch/blackwork picture is created by Claire Crompton. I made a few small changes to the pattern. There were supposed to be random French knots in the bird's wing, but I replaced them with a "feathery" blackwork pattern. I also altered the way I made the gold "snowflakes."
From Terry Pratchett's book Jingo, pattern is for sale in my Etsy shop, Hardcore Stitchcorps.
