Been feeling a bit rough of late, so it was nice to catch this bright aurora last night. At first I thought it was ground lit cloud, but a quick look at the back f the camera confirmed it was green, with a hint of red on the lower border. No rays in this shot, but there were some earlier in the evening. Stay safe folks.

I'm very pleased with myself having rebuilt this lens after it had jammed solid. Considering the amount of electronics and tiny tiny screws inside and the complicated mechanism. I amazed myself to have got it fixed!! The photos in this Album or Set were taken with this lens days after the rebuild, sorted!! :-D

Located on Old Las Vegas Highway which at one time was part of historic Route 66, the Bobcat Bite has been a family owned and operated restaurant since 1953.
Originally a trading post, then a gun shop, it was made a restaurant by Rene Clayton (owner of the Bobcat Ranch), it was first operated by her daughter Mitzi Panzer in 1953. Since then it has been operated as a mom and pop diner by a series of proprietors including Don and Millie Cowell, Don and Shelba Surls and Bob and Judy Amos to the present when John and Bonnie Eckre took over in May of 2001.
Many people ask how our name was derived. Years ago before I-25 was built, bobcats came down from the hills and were given treats at the back door at what was one of the few local dining spots that were friendly to bobcats at that time.
