An unremarkable bit of countryside near Whitson, on the outskirts of Newport (Mon). Off left of this view were the muddy expanses and seaweed-covered boulders of the Severn estuary. The trees, I thought, made an elegant grouping. I always find tree identification difficult, but I think these would have been some kind of willow. One imagined the glimmering effect, on windy days, when the leaves are tossed about and their silvery undersides are exposed to the light. This area used to be dominated by the Llanwern steelworks; I believe they still exist in a much reduced form, but I didn't see a single glimpse of them in driving around. Admittedly observation is difficult from these country roads at a time of year when the verges and hedges pullulate with greenery.
Wearing a longer under skirt with this dress has really improved it from my point of view.
The dress is longer, and the black band under the hem adds a bit more fun to the outfit as a whole.
Hazel (left) is curious about what Bambi has been up to. She'd been licking the ice that I'd dumped from a frozen water bucket, for some reason.

I was still driving during the best of the colour and only just managed to make it to this spot after parking the car and running down to this spot, no time to pick a nicer composition either.
This was the morning I departed for the Kepler Track and was to be one of the few occasions it was actually worth taking out the big camera, as the weather forecast was not good... and unfortunately it turned out to be accurate.
Behind me, the approaching bad weather was evident and didn't exactly make the long walk ahead that appealing... but after traveling here specifically to walk the Kepler (and paying for the hut tickets), I just put on the waterproof gear and got started.
I waited in for 5 hours, for a home delivery that never arrived!.
I had planned to go out but had to reduce my shopping and browsing outing to a trip to the local Tesco.
For me going out is about being seen and making contact with people to make Trans a seen thing for whomever I come across, in this case the girl at the checkout. I have come across her before, in fact I think most of the checkout boys and girls in my local Tesco have met me now!
I am going out tomorrow, end of week treat for me. I am also looking forward to next week, a couple of trips out; a makeup lesson with a local friend, and then a trip into town to the office! The rest of the week will be gardening and house jobs.

The RL8 is packed with a compact V8 as a powertrain, producing not as much horsepower as the Venozis RL7, but the radiator has moved upwards in order to catch better the air provided by the roof and that has increased the cooling efficiency significantly. It's like the RL8's got a 8th generation Intel I5 processor, while the RL7 has a 7th one Intel I7.
But why a V8, instead of a Boxer? Well, the joint project agreements involved the engine type choice aswell, and this is the setup we chose for our rides. The RL8 will also be the second model of the line to feature RWD instead of AWD, just like it's grandfather Asphalt RL4 (which has also been born on a circustance of a joint project with Alex B).

There are also dozens of collectors on Flickr who dedicated a lot of time making awesome guides about many doll types. Many of these websites are starting points, so you will have to do additional research on your own. The more research you do, the more familiar you will become with certain types of dolls, and the easier doll identification will be for you! Best of luck identifying :)
I can't believe this was a week ago.
It was a bit blowy so I sometimes had a skirt issue but at least My hair stayed put.
Bit of a lazy bus photting session in Newbury for me today (29/03/2021) as I opted to just stand around the town's newish bus station rather than go hunting for different locations etc. It was just nice to be outside in some very pleasant early Spring sunshine for a couple of hours!
Anyway, since my last visit in 2018, the scene has changed somewhat with a new and relocated bus station and a new livery adorning the Newbury & District fleet, part of Reading Buses of course.
Stagecoach turned up with a couple from Basingstoke and one from Andover, Reading Buses with a few from Reading, and a random training bus passed by for good measure!
Here's something a bit different (at least for me). A few days ago, I had to wait for someone in a mall for a while. I wandered into a bookshop and to the shelf with art books. I ended up getting a book about watercolour techniques, because I thought it had some nice ideas for my scenic stamping. Then I remembered a tree I painted with watercolours in school and on a bit of a whim I got a set of watercolours too. I use watercolour techniques with my Distress Inks a lot and I wanted to see what the difference would be. The book I got has a section on painting trees, and since I love trees, I thought I would give it a try. I kept the clouds and background fairly similar to the example in the book, but my tree ended up looking different. I first sketched the tree. The sky was done with two washes on wet paper. The leaves of the tree were painted with a dry brush technique and then I painted the trunk and the branches. The foreground and the fence were done last, adding a bit of extra texture with dry brushing on the grass. I had fun mixing different shades of green and brown. TFL!!

Flash on stand behind my head on lowest power at 128mm. Exhale of vape before the shutter opened with the fibre optic lp brush in the foreground. Took quite a number of similar shots with different points of focus. This one was my fave with everything out of focus. Bit of a tinker in lightroom et voila.

Taking the Hasselblad out of its comfort zone once again in one of my favourite Tokyo hang-outs, the famous (and now very crowded) Kabukichou.
This one was a bit of an easy one, given that I had created the USAF Mustang P51-B 'Razorback' previously, along with a 2013 Ford Mustang 'Tuskagee Special Edition'.
This time the plane is the later USAF North American P51-D, notable for the canopy having greater visibility to the rear. Nearly four times as many P51-Ds were built as the earlier P51-B (including 200 copies in Fishermans' Bend in Melbourne, Australia).
The North American Aviation Mustang P51-D featured a Rolls-Royce V12 Merlin engine built by Packard with output of 1,490 hp (1,111 kW). This allowed a maximum speed of 437 mph (703 km/h). The P51-D served a a long-range fighter and low capacity fighter-bomber in both the Pacific and European theatres during WWII, and is one of the most famous warplanes of the era. A fitting name to be applied to Ford's all-new pony car in 1964.
The car is the earlier 2010 S195 Mustang, which issued a special AV-X10 edition, one of a long line of celebratory Mustang special editions. The car features a yellow nosecone along with special badging and a front fender illustration of an attractive young lady 'Detroit Doll' in the style commonly featured on WW II Aircraft.
The two models here, the North American Aviation Mustang P51-D and Ford Motor Company 2010 S195 Mustang AV-X10 Special Edition have both been created in Lego miniland-scale for Flickr LUGNuts' 79th Build Challenge, - "LUGNuts goes Wingnuts", - celebrating automotive creations with and aviation connection.
