High Force is England’s biggest waterfall and drops 70 feet (21m) into the plunge pool below.
The upper rock is the Whin Sill dolerite said to have been formed 295m years ago (magma formed a sheet known as a sill).
The lower rocks are sandstone and limestone at the base, which are less resistant to erosion and get worn away by the force of the water. As the more resistant dolerite is undercut it becomes unstable and collapses leaving behind the angular collapsed rocks and boulders.
At the foot of the waterfall is a deep plunge pool. The waterfall has been developing for over 10,000 years. A steep-sided gorge has developed as the waterfall has retreated upstream.

This GCSE BBC resource is about the River Tees and uses High Force as an example of a waterfall. Please note rocks should be described as less or more resistant not 'hard' or 'soft'.

Phyllo dough cups with chicken pot pie filling. Purchased from Trader Joe's in West Hartford, CT.
This is one of the best chicken pot pie versions I've had, in flavor and easy cleanup. Also good as horse doovers.

Sorry for the poor quality of this photo, but when taking this picture I had a flashback to my year 11 days when we studied a poem about blackberries. After a little while of internet stalking on the GCSE bbc bitesize website, I came across this poem. Here it is:
Late August, given heavy rain and sun
for a full week, the blackberries would ripen.
At first, just one, a glossy purple clot
among others, red, green, hard as a knot.
You ate that first one and its flesh was sweet
like thickened wine: summer's blood was in it
leaving stains upon the tongue and lust for
picking. Then red ones inked up and that hunger
sent us out with milk-cans, pea-tins, jam-pots
where briars scratched and wet grass bleached our boots.
Round hayfields, cornfields and potato-drills
we trekked and picked until the cans were full,
until the tinkling bottom had been covered
with green ones, and on top big dark blobs burned
like a plate of eyes. Our hands were peppered
with thorn pricks, our palms sticky as Bluebeard's.
We hoarded the fresh berries in the byre.
But when the bath was filled we found a fur,
A rat-grey fungus, glutting on our cache.
The juice was stinking too. Once off the bush
the fruit fermented, the sweet flesh would turn sour.
I always felt like crying. It wasn't fair
that all the lovely canfuls smelt of rot.
Each year I hoped they'd keep, knew they would not.

Prepare a risotto according to this basic recipe, replacing the mushrooms by asparagus. I took white asparagus because it is the most common one in Germany but you may as well take green ones.
The white asparagus has to be peeled whereas the green has only the ends to be cut off.
According to thickness and length of the asparagus stems cut them into bitesize pieces and half lengthwise if necessary.
Heat some olive oil in a pan and place the asparagusses into the oil. Let become a bit brown before turning. Season with a pinch of vanilla sugar and some lemon juice or white wine. Serve with the risotto and a chilled white wine, preferably the one you used for cooking the risotto.

Such a boring Title, my imagination is bad right this minute. Here we see a Normal hotel, but one car occupying the street. Probably worth more than the whole Hotel's car inventory at that moment, it is the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, by you know who ;)
