Sometimes you just want the world to back off, get out of your way, and just let you run amok. But it doesn't mean you should bomb everyone.
We wonder how this might have come about. Of course the reason might easily have been as simple as that the TV star was hungry, angry with the homeless man (damn those homeless men), or merely criminally insane; one can’t help but wonder, however, whether there might not have been a deeper and altogether more fascinating scenario at the root of this regrettable occurrence (assuming, of course, that it was regretted and not vaunted). Perhaps the TV star had also become homeless and stumbled into a biting episode arising from a territorial dispute over begging rights with another member of the homeless fraternity (or indeed sorority)? Or maybe, just maybe, there exists a secret society whose members are all TV stars happily paying to attend staged fights between homeless men in (temperature-controlled) empty swimming pools in the basements of Barratt mansions secreted deep in Epping forest? Perhaps the TV star was so incensed at the loss of one such fight by the homeless man he or she had sponsored with a significant display of fiscal confidence that the bite was simply one of frustration? Or maybe - just maybe - the TV star, once a keen participant in such light-hearted leisure activities, might have fallen from grace, losing a coveted spot on “Celebrity Bastard Squad” following a mysterious incident with a turkey and a Cumbrian rapist, collapsing via a glut of explosively lurid coverage ultimately into a desolate morass of anonymous obscurity, eventually ending up, in a staggering and of course entirely unexpected dénouement, fighting for coins in the cellar of his replacement’s crypto-Wimpey pile?
We may never know.
According to Wikipedia (I'm being lazy today) Horse-fly is the most widely-used English common name for members of the family Tabanidae. Apart from the common name "horse-flies", broad categories of biting, bloodsucking Tabanidae are variously known as breeze flies,[2] clegs, deer flies, gadflies, or zimbs. In some areas of Canada, they also are known as Bull Dog Flies. In Australia some species are known as "March flies", a name that in other English-speaking countries refers to a very different Dipteran family, the non-bloodsucking Bibionidae.
Anyway these flies bite and can bite though shirts even. But they have lovely eyes and of course the males, like us chaps everywhere are peaceful and would not even hurt a fly.

Celebrating the end of the school year with gluten free and vegan Fudge Cookie Bites! Made with a strawberry-pear sauce (or applesauce) they are a great two-bite treat for adults and kids alike!
The worst part of the Ballroom Cave trail was that I got attacked to death by some sort of biting gnats, no-see-ums or something. I had 45 bites below the knees, and about 60 total on my body. These things literally kept me up at night! Still, most definitely worth it.
I go back to work today- as a highschool librarian. I have to go back a few weeks early to issue textbooks. Those teenagers have nothing on me though. In July I was biten by a shark and live to tell the tale. So bring it on you punk ass kids, I can take it!
Another one of my experimental dishes: I call them Kielbasa Bites!
I'm the type of person who's too lazy to get up and prepare breakfast (yes, I'm not a morning person) so I came up with a quick but filling solution that could be prepared the night before. Easy grab and go breakfast=okay in my book.
It's a cross between a muffin and quiche with a bit of oven baked kielbasa.

Iconic Santa Fe area restaurant. One of the best green chile cheeseburgers in the world... Ciaran and I dropped off the pictures I took the other day of the bobcat.

Located on Old Las Vegas Highway which at one time was part of historic Route 66, the Bobcat Bite has been a family owned and operated restaurant since 1953.
Originally a trading post, then a gun shop, it was made a restaurant by Rene Clayton (owner of the Bobcat Ranch), it was first operated by her daughter Mitzi Panzer in 1953. Since then it has been operated as a mom and pop diner by a series of proprietors including Don and Millie Cowell, Don and Shelba Surls and Bob and Judy Amos to the present when John and Bonnie Eckre took over in May of 2001.
Many people ask how our name was derived. Years ago before I-25 was built, bobcats came down from the hills and were given treats at the back door at what was one of the few local dining spots that were friendly to bobcats at that time.
