"BEST VIEWED ON BLACK"
Something a bit different. Just down the hill from the house is a fantastic beach which has these reeds/grasses at the back. As the sun swings around into late afternoon, they get back lit nicely with the side of a quarry masking off the sky nicely. I took the opportunity to go hand held and try a double exposure in camera. Quite happy with the result. Shot on the Canon 45mm Ts-e.
Another one left over from my trip to Oregon in Dec/Jan, same place as the previous shot but a few steps back, not nearly as dramatic but still kinda cool I think :-)
The Gangnam area in Seoul is famous for its modern touch, but it also hosts one of the holiest temple in Korea.
The temple is called Bongeunsa and occupies a large area in one of the world's most valuable real estate area.
Bit of a crop but still quite chuffed, they were doing their courtship thing and calling so loudly you could hear them from a mile away.
A little bit of luck at last : )
A bit of a cliche shot. But was walking over the Millennium bridge and couldn't resist taking a shot.

Pair of GP9r's looking a bit faded in their red, white and blue paint scheme. It is said they are painted to represent school colors of two local universities. The units are returning from the run to Chocowinity and entering Wilson yard with interchange and delivery traffic.
There's a cool bit of irony and coincidence tied into this 'lifer' moth and it began on Flickr two days ago when my dear Flickr friend Patti in Virginia posted a 'lifer' Corn Earworm Moth caterpillar eating her corn, which I saw Monday morning...I'd never heard of this caterpillar or moth before... then yesterday, I noticed this unfamiliar moth at Graham Creek and after getting shots, came home for an ID search, assuming it was some species of flower moth! Somehow, I finally came upon a match and couldn't believe it was the moth stage of Patti's find!😎 Now I need to find the caterpillar and she needs to find the moth...and we will have come full circle! 😄
A bit of door, a bit of window, a bit of brick and a bit of roof. The shed at the harbour end of St Andrews Cathedral grounds.

Bit of a distant shot, but love it when a number of Bearded Tits all perch on the same tall reed. I wonder if the tail feathers in the face was a deliberate ploy from the male above, who could be protecting his female.
Taken in Norfolk.
Made a bit of a schoolboy error this morning. Decided to get up early on my last day of annual leave to catch the sunrise in the lakes (after spending ages lying in bed deliberating!). So off I set, trundling up the motorway when a dawning realisation struck me; my memory card was last seen sticking out of my laptop rather than in my camera and I didn't have a spare one in my bag. Still, it was a nice drive in the dark for an hour to end up back at home...
Here's a shot that I didn't take today.
A blatant bit of plagiarism here after David AKA Squareburn, recently uploaded this fine photo from virtually the same spot flic.kr/p/CmuUF2
I hope the link works but if not, you can find Squareburn in my contacts and find the photo yourself.
It a place that I've always liked to visit, it's a decent walk to get there and although it's only a few meters away from the south pier at Amble with its anglers and dog walkers, it might as well be a mile away as there's no way across unless you happen to have a boat.
Bit of a dull morning when I took this so I went to town on the B&W again!
This late in the season the colours are fading (not that this was a good year for colours anyway) and branches are getting bare. I slept in a bit too long to catch sunrise but I was close!

Ok, a bit random I know.
When we were on our way to see the Callanish Stones my wife spotted this small shipping container in the middle of nowhere converted to sell Pizza's!
The nearest house was a couple of miles away, the carpark had a sign saying "Food with a View" which is certainly true.
It seemed so strange we had to stop on the way back and take a picture.

Bit grainy due to high ISO but I liked the colouring round the moon so was willing to put up with that

Well for a wide shot here is a 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood Series seventy-five and it is a bit Long as well as Wide . !! It is 250 inches long and 80 inches wide - might need four parking spaces in some of England's car parks and that is only if there is room to manoeuver in the first place .
So this is a wide shot to get all the length of the car in and the challenge brief was a shot that is 2:1 at least - think this shot is 3.15 : 1 or thereabouts !!
I did have some fancy notion of taking a shot with the camera in " Panoramic " mode , but as you can see in the first comment box , railway stations are not usually built on hairpin bends !!
If you are interested in seeing some facts and some interior shots of a car like this , here is a link to a web page for a gander .

The car behind under wraps I think is a Ford Gallaxie 500 .

Something a bit different from me and the closest to portrait photography I'm ever likely to get!!
When I met our new neighbours a few weeks ago I'm afraid I totally ignored them and fussed over their beautiful cat Phoebe and took lots of photos of her instead :) just kidding of course, the neighbours are lovely, including Phoebe.
Phoebe was only adopted recently so she doesn't have her own name tag yet, so she is wearing a collar with the name Ella on it. All very confusing when I'm trying to remember the names of all the people in our new street!
Wishing everyone a great weekend, here in the UK we have a 3-day weekend, and it's supposed to be sunny, hooray!
I decided that it would be a good idea to climb up a ski hill in the middle of the Summer. Hammarbybacken. To get a few good shots of the view. Snapped this half-way up. You can see two church towers here. Sofia and Katarina. Also, the old water tower at Mosebacke and to the very left the three crowns on the top of City Hall. I had time to take a few more photos, but then came the rain. And it was a hard rain. These days, you can walk up and down the hill using the new stairs. But that is for sissies, so I found myself in a somewhat muddy situation. Luckily for me, I managed to descend without falling over. I then spent 30 minutes under a roof trying unsuccessfully to hide from the hailstorm that followed the rain. When the hailstorm finally stopped, I decided to bike home in the rain, which was great fun.
Not looking my best, but also far from my worst, this was today's outfit choice and although it was comfortable it was always as warm as it could have been even with the fur coat.
