Bird of prey

Mom came in fast and low as she delivered the fish she caught to the nest in the stiff breeze. She had to execute a sharp, steep bank to bleed of speed caused by the 20+ MPH wind at her back. I caught this on just as she started her turn.

These two are approx. 8 - 9 weeks old and have begun jumping around the tree and doing a lot of wing flapping preparing for their first flight. I hope I am there to witness it!
