Had the most awesome day at Claire Carter and Hawkeye Bird of Prey Photography Workshop in Thoresby Park. A privilege to get close to such beautiful birds and I learned such a lot about bird photography that I hope I can put in to practice in future. My photos (just a few here out of 100s I took today) are pale imitations of what is achievable but I'm happy with (some of) my efforts with limited kit.
Went out to shoot eagles and owls and was working on achieving different effects with light and shadow.
Every year my father in law displays his motorbike in the vintage vehicles section and we always go along for a look round with the children. This year I grabbed a few shots of the birds of prey, Mr Alexander an old style travelling magician and trickster, the fairground and anything else that caught my eye!

This is Trevor (on the left) demonstrating his skill with numerous birds of prey. We had a great day and feel lucky and privileged to have got so close to some wonderful birds.
