Such a beautiful birch tree + lake view!

The Trees Of Autumn..

Two weeks ago was the perfect time to get out and take fall colour shots, Karen and I Started our hike at the south end of the park, the trees are stately and tall with a winding foot path that leads you deep into the expanse of the woods and nature trail hidden within its leafy canopy.

This shot along the trail has many birch trees which stand out white against the yellow and reds of the other trees, it is absolutely breathtaking this tome of year.

A lovely day in this beautiful Highland Glen.

My dear Flickr Friends, may this festive season be a time to enjoy the simple things we have in life.

Wishing you, yours and your beloved pets a Merry Christmas full of health and happiness. ♥

Just pretty trees in a grey december

A local lonely hazy birch tree within the fields with a soft golden hue horizon in the distance.

We have to cut the grass every week during this humid period.

Also our horse Gigia mowers the grass, but she eats also the roses, lol!!!

Bleeding Hearts (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) blossoms decorate the edge of a trail for this week's Cliche Saturday.

Most of my friends/contacts know, that I usually don't use excessive processing. However, here I used some.

...when sunflowers bloom and the deer arrive to their wintering forest. We saw several deer last night, one visiting to check on the garden goodies and to our surprise a beautiful piebald - very young and almost solid white!

Till tomorrow, have a lovely Friday!

This striated pardalote was a rare visitor to our garden, so it was a thrill to see it land in the silver birch tree that was right outside our dining room window.

Small Island with birchtrees near sunrise,

Bright light and colours of the autumn may only bring some joy into the perfectly troubled life now. Lets appreciate it while we can. Where does this road lead us? To winter...

Recently taken photo in my city. I still can push myself go outside:)

Thank you for all the comments and faves, dear friends.

May is a month of a perfect spring for us. It'll be gone very soon. And I like the shooting of this wonderful season so much.

I'm back in my local woods. It's almost a tradition that every year at the end of autumn I set out to look for the last patches of color in the forest before the snow covers everything.

Most of the time it is the beeches that can be seen until the end, because some of their rust-brown leaves remain hanging until spring.

But yesterday there were two small birch trees (this is one of them) whose bright yellow leaves shone in front of the dark background of the spruce trunks from afar.

Since you can't see the dark branches, it almost looks like a flock of yellow butterflies are dancing around the tree. At least that was my first association when I took a closer look at the little tree.

The image is taken at the Schauinsland-mountain in the Black Forest where old Birch trees grow since 300 year, formed by the wind.- One of the places in my region I love. I think, we all have such places we visit again and again and every time they have changed.

Meanwhile the snow has thawed a bit then it snowed again..and it has thawed and it snowed... the landscape looks always different. Still good conditions for winter sports.

The situation reminds me of a Poem by German Writer Erich Kästner "February" (sorry please, no translation).
