BIL (Burst Illumination Ladar) is an innovative approach to acquiring images and identifying objects within a scene. It can be used to provide enhanced recognition and identification capability in a wide range of air, land and sea electro-optical sensor applications. BIL gives 2D and 3D imaging using a laser illumination pulse.
