Es una construcción de estilo árabe de enlucido rojo en su exterior y decorado con azulejo y bajorrelieves que siguen la exquisita tradición nazarí, las fuentes, herencia de la cultura musulmana flanquean el castillo, y desde el exterior se puede disfrutar de unas magnificas vistas de las playas de Benalmádena.
El Castillo de Bil Bil es un edificio situado en Benalmádena, provincia de Málaga, España y diseñado por el arquitecto Enrique Atencia. Su estilo árabe de enlucido rojo en su exterior y decorado con azulejo y bajorrelieves lo han convertido en un icono del municipio y de toda la Costa del Sol. Destacan sus puertas con triple arco de herradura y su iluminación nocturna. Sus jardines exteriores, fuentes y palmeras (fruto de reformas posteriores) complementan su estilo árabe.
El edificio fue construido en 1927, impulsado por el matrimonio de León y Fernanda Hermann, más adelante la familia estadounidense Schentrom lo adquirió y terminó las obras. Desde entonces ha tenido varios propietarios hasta que en 1980 fue adquirido por el Ayuntamiento de Benalmádena. En la actualidad es un centro cultural (en él se celebran exposiciones y conciertos)

With this years series of Waverley's no longer starting in this area with steam traction, a reprise to one of the corresponding trips during last summer.
Rebuilt Southern Railway Merchant Navy Pacific Class 35018 British India Line, in BR livery, storms through Garforth station and under the heritage NER footbridge on its way to Carlisle.
I took a later frame but selected this one to capture more of the station buildings.
The Bulleid pacific was hauling the third of the 2021 season's five Waverley tours.
The NER designed cast and wrought iron footbridge dates from around the start of the last century and is a listed structure.
2089 2-BIL motor brake second is leading a similar set, they are working on route 7, a Waterloo to Portsmouth and Southsea slow service.
The train is photographed from a footbridge, the train is approaching from the northeren end of Guildford.

Bil-Bil Castle has a romantic history. It was built by a Spanish merchant for his moorish bride who was pining for her homeland across the Mediterraen Sea. He reproduced a moorish house to make his bride feel at home.
It is a beautiful example of a well to do Moorish house, complete with indoor courtyard, Fine plasterwork and a wonderful garden filled with fountains and running water .
There are regular art exhibitions held there now. It isd situated on a headland with the waves crashing all around., looking across to her beloved North Africa.
Bil-Bil Castle is a Neo-Arab style building that Leon and Fernanda Hermann ordered built. The architect was Enrique Atencia and the building was finished in 1934. However the owners were never able to live in it because the Spanish Civil War started in 1936. Later an American bought it and lived in it with his family. His first name was William and he had a son with the same name. Since his nickname was Bill, the neighbors started calling the building Bil-Bil. The building was remodeled in the 1990’s.
The building is painted red and the exterior is decorated with attractive tile. There are gardens with fountains and there is a beautiful view of the beaches.
