I love Alaska in the summer. You get great lighting almost all evening. I finally had a chance to whip out my tripod and set up on the dock. Shooting at f/22, I definitely needed it.
Larger Please!
Children, always curious, always attracted by what is different. We should all remain children and always peek over our "gates"
Driving around the backroads of Indiana & found this very old home that had burned down long ago, I bet it was once very beautiful.
Rest on this earth is false rest. Beware of those who urge you to find happiness here; Try this Imagine a perfect world. Whatever that means to you imagine it. Does that mean Peace? Then envision absolute traquility. Does a perfect world imply Joy? Then create your highest happiness. Will a perfect world have love? If so, ponder a place where love has no bounds. Whatever heavens means to you, imagine it. Get it firmly fixed in your mind...........
Caught a little touch of that blue hour tonight. I was rushed but I figure something is better than nothing. You can see where the sun is setting toward the center, then the blues slowly fading away. Oh, and I actually managed to bring out my DSLR this time! It sure has been a while.

Nel tronco cavo
C’è un grande albero montano, isolato e nudo.
Difficile dirne l’essenza:
il verde lo ha perduto da tempo.
Non è molto alto, ma l’enorme tronco
mi offrì il suo scudo
una ventosa mattina di novembre.
Dentro - quiete, conforto,
assoluto silenzio.
Fuori – il vorticoso turbinìo dell’esistenza.
Sulle pareti levigate, come incisioni rupestri,
migliaia di valli
scavate da lenti fiumi di linfa,
corridoi celesti senza lumi di stella.
Dove si direbbe assente scopro intatto
l'amore per la vita;
come in quel tronco nudo, sbiancato e cavo
che per decine di decenni
prima che fluisse altrove l'ha cullata.

In a previous post “Where the Junipers Grow”; there is a peak far beyond and to the left of the sprawling Juniper, in the middle of the photo. I packed cold weather, night gear, plenty of food and water (in case I didn’t make it back before dark) and headed to the peak to hopefully find a nice vista for pictures. I went up and over the peak and this is what I saw. I added the previous post for you to view (really just to improve my stats :) )
And, the Village Idiots are very upset with my last few post, so please help put a stop to Gang Stalking, Community Based Stalking and Workplace Mobbing by signing the following petitions. These immoral acts are allowed in Yosemite National Park. Thank you for taking the time to visit my photostream.

I have known about these LR's for 4 years, and they are slowly sinking into the earth. I guess they are beyond help.

Got this idea from Mehmet, a flickr fiend here, He has many creative shots taken from ordinary objects and I always get inspired by his wonderful works. You may want to visit his photostream at www.flickr.com/photos/69055597@N08/.
Hopefully he wouldn't yell at me for copying his idea here :-)
So many of our myths and legends in the UK have links to various versions of King Arthur and the legends of Avalon. However, magical stories of fae and fantasy go far beyond. My blog today is based in pure imagination, helped along by my recent visit to the 30L Saturday 9th Aniversary Event (honestly, if you haven’t been along, you need to – there are so many fantastic items to snap up!) The skin and wings are from Stargazer Creations and the dress is from UNA but have a look at my blog for the full style guide:
