Bathed in a tropical light that seems born of another world, Richard and Haru look at one another as if they already remember each other. He, crowned as a pharaoh, carries the memory of a kingdom written in stone and sun. She, a princess from distant lands, holds in her gaze the whisper of spices, sacred rivers, and ancient promises.
Between them there are no words, only that silence filled with tenderness that crosses borders, lifetimes, and eras. Time bends around them, unable to pull them apart. In that suspended instant, love belongs to no place and no age — it simply exists, whole and radiant, shining like the light that surrounds them.

Mt. Thor is, without doubt, one of my favorite mountains to photograph. Those that follow my photographic journey know that it is not my first and definitely not my last shot of this granite giant. Its name is associated with the Norse god, a patron of thunders, lightning, storms, and strength. Thor is also considered to be responsible for the protection of mankind. Each time when you hike through the valley, you feel the overwhelming power and energy of Mt. Thor. The mountain itself is visible for about 40 km and keeps changing its shape as you approach it.
I chose this composition because it demonstrates the best Mt. Thor’s dominating power in the whole valley. The sunset light combined with soft-hued clouds added a bit of warmth to this hostile environment.

Shot from yesterdays shoot with Dave and Andrew T out on (yes standing on) Luther Lake. Defiantly one of my favorite shots of the day. Shot taken straight from my camera aside from crop+dust removal.
It was a real nice day out so thanks to Andrew for Driving our broke asses around.
