I couldn't help but share this capture from the same night as the last image. Lulu, my ethereal muse slips into character so easily. Sometimes I look at her and can't believe that what I see is real, a second later I'm in the foliage chasing that moment with my camera.
Thank you for following me, for liking, for sharing and for leaving me such lovely comments. Print Shop announcement, Print Giveaway and Actions coming soon!
Have a lovely day!

Severely derelict property packed with vintage wrecks for which I need to figure out how to trespass...this looks like a 1930's era General Motors product ~ Highland, NY

My daughters were working in the kitchen and when I noticed this moment it seemed to tell me a story I could relate to that was beyond what I could find words to express. So I did what I knew to do—try to capture what I saw but couldn’t express with words.
Day 16
____________________________
As a way to cope with circumstances beyond my control, survive and work to keep fighting for life I decided to try to take at least one photo (or more) each day. I call this “a photo (or more) a day.” Practicing this form of therapeutic photography helps me work to focus on the present moment, gives me something familiar and enjoyable to focus on as I use photography skills that have become like second-nature to me and being able to view the images I capture helps me recall what I was thinking, feeling and noticing at the moment when I created the photos. More of the photos from this series can be seen on my Instagram account
I may not always have the energy, time or capacity to share photos from this series—especially with the very challenging circumstances my family and I are experiencing—and will do my best to continue taking a photo (or more) a day even if I’m not able to share.
If you would like to support my work and my family, one way you can do so is by ordering my zines:
Many thanks for your support.
Burren National Park
County Clare, Ireland

One moment you're hiking through a forest, and then you see a rocky embankment on the right. Climbing up, the granite seems to go on forever as far as the eye can see. Here is the embankment I climbed. The forest is behind me.
If the rock were black instead of gray, it would look almost like the hardened lava fields on the Big Island of Hawaii.
An interesting and picturesque, although somewhat barren landscape is the Burren in County Clare, Ireland.
This is something a lot different than the other stuff I normally do with photography, I guess I like conceptual and actually I liked how this one turned out.
Hope you enjoy it :)

With her back to the world, she stands at the edge of a quiet overlook, her gaze drawn to the endless sea. The soft rustle of leaves and the distant sailboats drifting across the horizon seem to echo the stillness in her mind.
I've really wanted to visit this place after seeing the shot Rodney Harvey posted a while back. Luckily I was able make a down to Missouri for a visit recently and get a few shots. Got to love that fence & gate!
I caught this touching scene during lunch. Normally Miles' ears stand straight up, ut I like how he laid them town to accommodate Nita Jane's loving kiss.
