Bagel not Beigel -- In a neighborhood called Brick Lane, located in London's eastern quadrant, you will find two famous bagel shops that have been there for years. Being a Jewish woman from the states, I found it proper to note that there is a correct spelling of bagel and it's not "beigel". Hence, you will find Jazmina photographed in front of one of these famous London shops, smiling at their foolishness. :)

The process of beigel making is rather complicated. First the dough is mixed in a mammoth sized mixing machine. Then small rolls of dough go through a machine making them round and curling them into the classic beigel shape. The raw beigels are boiled for several minutes before finally going into the oven. Baker, Farid Djabiri estimates that 4,000 beigels are made per day in the shop
