From my archive - a chance conversation today reminded me of this place, which was established in 1974.
I would go here as a teenager with my friend after a night on the town. Fresh beigels at 5 am - no problem. Just get there.
These days we would have smartphones, and order online in advance:

Took this in December but only just got round to processing some more of my street shots including this one. It was a dull day and kept with the urban processing as feel it works for this one.
The crowd is a mixture of people queueing for their salt beef beigels (bagels) for lunch and a tour group that was passing.
I captured this candid shot on one of my visits to the Columbia Road Flower Market. The whole area around Shoreditch is a fascinating place to wander around the different markets, the hipster shops, the graffiti alleyways and to grab a salt beef beigel or enjoy a curry in Brick Lane.

I was in two minds about posting this shot. I only noticed long after leaving the scene that it suffers from the iPhone 12 ghosting problem - the green light trails across the middle aren't from a super-fast delivery cyclist crossing the frame!
I should also have used a faster shutter speed, but I haven't ever worked out how to do that on an iPhone.
