From a store called Costco's; these are smaller black 'n' white cookies than the original kind, and the icing has a stronger, lemony flavor than orignal black 'n' white cookies. The box of cookies was under $6.

Apparently, if you're a fan of bagels, salmon-and-cream-cheese or otherwise, this is the place to check out. World famous for it's 'beigels', there were tourists taking their picture in front of it with a cheeky thumbs up.

"11 different fillings at the 24-hour Beigel Bake on Brick Lane. Yes, there's more to life than smoked salmon and cream cheese."

November 8, 2012 - Mahwah, New Jersey. Red Cross worker Barbara Beigel dresses up as a clown named “Glitter” to bring joy to the children in this Northern New Jersey Red Cross Shelter that is housing victims of Hurricane Sandy from some of the hardest hit areas in New Jersey including Moonachie. Here, she entertains shelter resident Keren Franco, teaching her how to balance a plate on a stick.

After having worked half a year at Noah's Bagels as an entry-level baker - I had sworn to myself that I'd never have anything to do with bagels again. That is, until we started making bagels from scratch, years later at a far better bakery establishment (Portage Bay). I loved it! This was my batch - perfectly shaped, dipped & stone baked. These had the greatest texture, nice & just chewy enough. These were for a weekend breakfast special to be served with house-cured lox; so good!
