Begonias are hardy, happy porch plants even throughout this dry, baking-hot Montana summer. They come in glorious, salubrious colors, sizes and shapes.

Vietnam, Lao Cai Province, Van Ban Nature Reserve, along a 4W-track south of road QL 279 (passing a fish farm near the road located west of the track), alt. 670 masl (22.03278 103.97639). Begonia dewdrop refraction. Focus stacked using helicon focus. Helicon did pretty well with this- I normally focus stack these dewdrop shots by hand.
Is always nice to see those Begonia sp. that thrive among the rock surface along the trail that you came accross.

The most amazing colour leaf I've ever seen, growing under a ledge behind a pot in the 'Orchid Farm', Brinchang, Cameron Highlands.
We have a Begonia plant in our garden we have had for around 50 years. We had it in a pot on the verandah for many years before we put it in the corner of the garden that gets morning sun and afternoon shade. We cut it back now and then if it’s looking dowdy but it grows back again. It’s around 1m tall.
On Friday my wife purchased some plants on clearance for her flower gardens. Pictured are begonia plants she bought.
