I’m a whimp 😆😂 but I am doing 4 sets of 25 reps so 100 each WORKIN the arms. Got to start somewhere

I had been researching the Matteson Loop and viewing platforms when I happen to discover what appeared to be a little observation platform at Homewood. Thus, on a morning where going south avoided the clouds, I decided to check out Homewood. A couple benches, a pavillion, and a live radio feed greeted me not ten minutes before this northbound showed. Taking some stacks and racks into Markham Yard is the recently rebuilt AC44 with the 1923-era logo.

I only had a moment before it flew away..I couldn't set shutter speed, ISO, f. stop...So I clicked on Auto...Maybe I won't bother setting up again !!! Stay safe folks.

This 3 month old Bighorn Sheep is already a skilled mountain climber.

Bighorns prefer drier climates in the mountains that support grasslands for grazing. They never stray too far away from steep mountain slopes, which give them an advantage over their predators (mainly wolves and cougars).

You can learn new things at any time in your life if you're willing to be a beginner. If you actually learn to like being a beginner, the whole world opens up to you.

When I turn on the Lomi this is the button I push to get the compost started.

The Abecedarian (Beginner)

Starting when I was a young one, I have always enjoyed dressing up and doing bits of role playing which were based on some rather unique desires. As a Mum’s Girl, I guess there were certain influences at play, but even without that, I am sure I would have turned out the same.

Also thanks to my deliciously fun mum, I had a ready supply of her old satiny dresses to play in and her old imitation jewellery to wear.

I found that my twin brother was a tolerating soul for my dress up moods and my games that revolved around various types of role-playing.

Eventually evolving into mostly me playing the fancy-dressed up victim and my twin playing the jewel hungry scoundrel...

The story below is how we came around to discovering that we liked to role play like this:

The Old Game

My twin brother and I had always enjoyed playing games outside in the woods that surrounded our childhood home, which was a rambling 2 story stone cottage. Formerly part of an ancient farm, we had an acre of lawn and almost 10 acres of woods to meander in.

Cops and robbers, hide and seek and bullrush to name a few were all our early favourites, though being the only two children in the area it wasn’t as much fun as playing with a group.

Then, around the age of 10, we discovered a variation to put in our games that made them more intensely alluring games to play!

Fun for me because I got to dress up in fancy play dress and jewels.

Fun for my brother, well, because he got to play with someone dressed fancy and wearing jewels!

In the next few weeks I will be delving in and explaining how this all got started, (A new Game of Tag) as well as a few early stories( Puppy Encounter & Playground Puppies)

Hello, my name is Zach and I am a true beginner photographer. I started my photography journey in February of 2023 without knowing a single thing about ISO, Exposure, F-Stops, composition, or photo editing.

This is one of the first photos I've ever taken and edited. I am somewhat happy with it for such an early shot in my collection. I think the warmth and brightness feels very inviting. I think the subject isn't the most exciting, but overall, I do feel like it's exposed correctly.

Follow along as I learn this awesome art on Flickr and on Facebook: www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090741694322

Saw this guy in the car next to me, while I was pumping gas. Told my son (16) to get a shot of him for me. He's put me to shame again.... S'ok. He's cool. Dad's not.

On the wall in a city lane

Yes, dear Friends: yet another aircraft Image! But before you flick on to the next photo on your screen, do please read on...

Our oldest daughter recently set off on what is now an annual three week Trek to other parts of the globe; this time she was going to Auckland, then on to Hawaii and a sundry number of American mainland cities...

Having farewelled her in the Terminal, we made our way to a convenient lookout near the northern end of the runway to - well, you know - make sure that her aircraft got out of Wellington safely!

Upon reaching the lookout, we were somewhat surprised to see a succession of bright landing lights appearing just above the northern hills on the other side of the harbour! Wellington Airport was clearly about to come alive!!!

The question was: which would be the best camera to use? Answer: the SLR! Which Lens? Answer: the 75-300 and hope like anything that the Lens could cope with fast-moving aircraft as they roared in over the Airport's perimeter just 100 or so metres away...

By now the first aircraft was approaching rapidly; stay cool, don't rush, turn the camera on, give it a moment to focus, track the aircraft (Not too fast)... Track it... Track it... And... click!

So... The reason why you, my loyal Viewers, are being confronted with yet another Image of an Air New Zealand A320 aircraft is because this was my first attempt at panning a large fast-moving object!

Other photos followed; some were successful; some weren't, but I have to admit: I was rather pleased with this first shot. Let's call it "Beginner's Luck"!!!

Oh, and Daughter's plane? That managed to dodge the incoming flights, and got away safely! She's now enjoying the beauty of Hawaii...!

I give this weekend my first fondant beginner class and made this cake as an excample and for tasting...

After several failed attempts, I finally managed to get down to Tuscon to catch the guard jets.

I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the 21'st FS' colorbird take off first thing in the morning. That set the tone for the day....

Salet Moraine is a place located at the end of the Königssee. The nature is protected. Behind the trees there a smaller Obersee lake. No this place is not for sale. The Königssee is a lake located in the extreme southeast of the German state of Bavaria, near the border with Austria. It's all part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Located at a Jurassic rift it was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It stretches about 7.7 km. The lake similar to a fjord is surrounded by steeply rising flanks of mountains up to 2700 m. The lake is noted for its clear water and is advertised as the cleanest lake in Germany. For this reason, only electric driven passenger ships, rowing and pedal boats have been permitted on the lake since 1909. Swimming is allowed but no fishing. Due to its picturesque setting, the lake and surrounding parklands are very popular with tourists and hikers. In addition, the lake's position surrounded by sheer rock walls creates an echo, which is known for its clarity. St. Bartholomä, a famous pilgrimage church with a small inn nearby, is located on a peninsula about halfway down the western lakeshore. St. Bartholomä and the southern edge can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails up the surrounding mountains. The major concentration of hang-gliding and paragliding extends over the areas occupied by the Jenner at 1800m of which is located within the National Park’s boundaries. Each year roughly 2000 hang-gliders and paragliders take off from these jumps of which an estimated 85% fly north over the forefield of the National Park once they have gained enough altitude over the Brett and Hoher Göll mountains. The best flying conditions are to be found in spring and in autumn. Due to the fact that hang-gliding and paragliding can greatly disturb wildlife in the National Park, precautionary measures were developed for these sports.

Photo of Salet Moraine surrounded by the highest Rocks the most beautiful smaragd coloured Königssee situated midst of the most beautiful mountain area of the Alps - Germany. It's the cleanest lake in Germany. An overwhelming bird's eye view is just reserved to this single paraglider. Enjoying his or her airy cocpit view above green meadows, past cliffy rocks and lake Königssee with all of its magnificence. The Königssee-Fleet invites you to a very extraordinary adventure, which you will never forget. But paragliding in Berchtesgaden is not for beginners.

After seeing that YSL was stopped under the bridge I decided to go drive over and get a few shots, seconds later Amtrak came rolling above!

I was blessed to be able to watch a juvenile fox at close range, hunting in the tall grasses for a meal. This young fox must have leaped 20 times trying to catch a lemming in the grass. Each time, she came up empty, but she never looked frustrated.
