After seeking some advice on "how to.." ....I then spent an hour splashing tomatoes in a glass...laughing and generally feeling like a big kid again! Errors galore and plenty of mess but lots of fun!

Je prends ce magnolia en photo tous les ans, jamais le même cliché... (I take a photo of this tree every year, never the same pic ! )

Cruising down 11th street in downtown Michigan City, the 1900 job from the BRC brings a cut of cars back to the shops as they pass an old South Shore depot. For this being my first ever time of the South Shore, it definitely didn't disappoint.

from suzuki roshi: "in the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's there are few." i'm trying to view the world with beginner's mind.

sometimes in life we have to wait. for texts, people, moments or just summer. sometimes these things need quite a short time to happen, sometimes they take more time. and sometimes these things will probably never happen.

Roseatte Spoonbill. I walked and walked all around the lake to find this beauty! Someone told me there was a pink bird on the other side! I was happy!

2022-01-19 So many posts of Pinkies lately I can hardly stand it! I can't drive far enough to see any. So I'm recycling a shot or two to keep me from crying! This is the very first one I ever saw and photographed. Not bad for a beginner. We bird geeks call that a "life bird" ... how blessed was I. Refreshing my gratitude and thankfulness for all the Creation adventures the Lord has let me enjoy ... this was a wonderful one!

2023-01-30 This is Samuel's fault I moved these up on my photostream. He posted a great shot of a Pinkie. This is my life bird from way back in 2012. Thank You, Jesus.

MULTI-COLOR DRAGON CHINESE COSTUME.

The Chinese dragon or Oriental dragon is a mythical creature in East Asian culture with a Chinese origin. It is visualized these days as a long, scaled, snake-like creature with four legs and five claws on each (though it did not always have five claws). Chinese dragon has long been a potent symbol of auspicious power in Chinese folklore and art. The Chinese dragon is traditionally also the embodiment of the concept of YANG (male) and associated with the weather as the bringer of rain and water in an agriculturally water-driven nation. It's female counterpart is the FENGHUANG (usually translated as a phoenix)

My finger mistakenly touched the shutter when I checked the monitor. It's clear I still have a lot to learn about using my new camera, there are so many buttons and functions that I don't even know exist.
